Senior Spirit Capt $185/hour

Senior Jet Blue Capt 159/hour

You're being dishonest. You're comparing a JetBlue 12 year CA today to a 15 year Spirit CA 4 years from now. If this TA is approved a 12 year Spirit CA will make $143 @ hour. The current 12 year JetBlue CA rate is $159.

I have no idea whether or not after this TA a typical Spirit pilot will be better off or worse off than a typical JetBlue pilot. Frankly, it's irrelevant and I'm not the one trying to make that comparison. You guys are. I'm just providing a little factual information to offset the hyperbole some of you are posting.

If you guys are happy with this TA, vote yes. But do it honestly. Stop trying to justify your decision by making invalid comparisons with other carriers.

Cut it out. I'm not interested in the non-Spirit group weighing in on the specifics of the contract when they know nothing about it.

I've already voted. Twice! :)

Then stop comparing yourself to other carriers. When you bring others into the conversation you can't complain when they weigh in.

OK, in four years, while you're still throwing the gear, a Spirit Senior Capt.
will be making $26/hour more than a JB Capt.

Is that clear enough for you?

You are right, it might not be an honest comparison because:

A. You might not have your 5 year personal contract renewed

B. Your "Kool-Aid" compensation committee may lower your salary, or

C. You may be aquired by another airline and be "stapled" or out of work, as part-time or contract employee's may have no rights under the
"Bond-McCaskell" legislation.

Look Caveman, I'm not interested in you your opinion of the TA. I'm interested in learning about other contracts to compare and contrast, not to opine. And I was responding directly to johnsonrod who called me out, so I don't know why you are getting upset since you were not a part of my post.

What we are finding is that most of the people at Spirit who are dead set against this are people who are living way beyond their income. People are saying they want $40,000 signing bonues, huge increases, no increases in health costs, etc. because they are under water.

The pie is only so big and the NC knows what the size of the pie is. They did a great job.

You have endured 4+ years of bad-faith bargaining. I don't care what your new TA says, but if it does NOT include 100% retroactive pay, you're only screwing yourselves.

And what should we give up to get that?

Oh, I forgot, you can't answer because you don't know anything about what we have or what we said we wanted in the Wilson poll!

You give up withdrawing services and return to work. I forgot, your MEC suffers from shooting their load a little prematurely.

What a stupid response, but to be expected from your previous posts.

Most pilots at Spirit have already voted, imho, so why the continued debate?

Why? your decision to vote for this pile of dung will screw all pilots industry wide for years to come.

NO sh!t. You walk off the job to only bend over and accept mediocrity? Which means it was all in vain and instead of a group that was courageous in taking a stand you all will look like chumps. You say if you don't work for Spirit weigh out? YOU WALKED! you made the move to get what you deserve, not us.

What you do affects all of us. Period!

IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT VOTE NO AND WALK.WE WILL STAND WITH YOU.

YOUR MEC ALREADY F*CKED UP BY RETURNING TO WORK BEFORE RATIFICATION

I think the NC did a good job of getting you a contract that will work for you very well. You can only expect reasonable improvements and I think you got them. If you feel you have to go on strike again, go ahead, but sometimes that doesn't work like you planned it. I am retired and never worked for Spirit but I have friends that do and talk to me about what is going on. You have to vote responsibly.
