Thought I'd give my 2 cents on this one...

As far as a future is concerned... I'd say its a toss-up. Miami Air is stable and profitable but growth has been stagnant eventhough we've freshened up the fleet with 737-800s... The down side is no upgrade in at least 5 years, and more likely 7 or 8 years... NOT GOOD for any new hires with ambition, BUT, you never know in this business... Miami Air was very close to signing a deal to fly a 747-400 not long ago and there's been talk about getting 767 freighters but of course rumors don't mean anything in this business... Yeah right! ;)

We just had one junior guy leave for Spirit... He was ex-TWA... Didn't like flying charter... There are some other guys considering the move also, in light of Spirit's recent anouncements to expand with new aircraft.

I received an interesting package in my mailbox today. Looks like some Spirit guys got caught picking up OT when they had furlougees, and now they are being ratted out.

Mercy, mercy, what will come next.

:)
