Well, we don't have first class so.. So I will repeat, I don't care who is sitting behind me, just as long as there are people. We don't have steaks at SWA either (I'm sure that is a shock to you) so I am unable to pimp my company for a free meal, unless it involves peanuts.

Hey 350, you fly for Mesa? Why would you bad mouth a major carrier like SWA when your not even in the game..?
You keep "enjoying" those peanuts then, no sleep will be lost on this end... Mesa?? HA - right !! - I think not... nice attempt at a cheap shot bud, you failed unfortunately once again. I have no ties to that airline other than a friend being a former check airman at AMW who is now ATA.

I am not "bad mouthing" SWA at all, you get your cage rattled that easily or just a case of you getting your feelings hurt?.

You guys really should take a look at the types of people that fly on ya, once was surely enough for I. Drunks, hobo's, clowns, you get the whole range. .

enigma, keep shining the luv balls, it may get you that interview that has seemed to have long eluded you.!! Good luck. ...

ps> Tex, why is wil a dipsh!t? Because he tends to disagree with a few guys who fly for SWA?. Give me a break bud. You have to slam someone who doesn't like your brand of cheap flying for the poor?. Why not bring something of substance other than a cheap shot at someone who was simply stating a personal opinion?.

You got one under-achieving Spirit captain who has yet to feel the luv, obvious he will suck until dry here with these guys. SWA is the greyhound of the sky whether one will want to admit it or not. Enigma was also the brilliant one who posted on the AA/SWA merger, u follow?.

Airways guys keep denying them the j/s to the SWA guys in PHL, that has to be the best email I have gotten in recent times, bravo.

What a brilliant post, I knew ya'll had some smart ones...

dhp
Ding, ding, ding, he's got it correct.

I'm not brilliant.

I am a decent human who respects people who know how to treat their fellow human beings.

enigma

Do a search on his posts. He doesnt miss a chance to cheap shot.

As far as our pax are concerned, they are no better or worse than anyone elses. We just fly more of them.

The judgement thing was a joke DAL2HP. Sorry to offend your virginal ears with the language.

That, and wil is a dipsh1t. His views show poor judgement. I fear he may be dangerous in the cockpit.
I really have no dog in this fight and could really care less but question for you, you don't know him, probably have never flown with him, yet you "fear" he may be dangerous in the cockpit due to what? Is it because he voiced his personal opinion about a company?.

out of sheer and absolute curiosity and nothing more

once again....

It was a joke. Sarcasm. Lighten up chief.

Cattle hearding, greyhound whatever is the lingo, they amount to butts in the seats that's the bottom line. The difference for most is SWA feels priviledged that the fly us vs us thinking they are priviledge to get on our planes. Passenger care about getting from A to B with money left over not A to B feeling bent over.

Tex,

You guys will always be successful and I respect that whether I like the airline or not that is just my "personal opinion", should have stayed off of this thread...

Generally speaking, there are two types of SWA haters.

1: The guy/gal who interviewed and wasn't selected

2: The guy/gal who says they hate SWA (but would do anything to work here)but deep down are just jealous of the success that SWA and its employees have enjoyed. (The truth is they are probably still kicking themselves for not making the sacrifices necessary to make themselves competitive for employment at SWA back when they had a chance. *pre 9-11*)

I have a third type for you : Bitter me !

I totally respect SWA guys. Myself I have to endure a low-cost airline job after seeing the world flying Big Iron, in an airline where the pilot profession was still considered an achievement Swissair). Sure I regret it, but I can tell you this coming from a place where selection and training was taken seriously :

- I have seen a wide range of pilots, due to the poor selection at most airlines, who accept people based on their number of hours and not quality of training. It is to their advantage to hire poorly qualified/trained people, because obviously those pilots will be happy to fly for "peanuts"...

-- Blasted off, got inverted, the instructor said please I just had breakfast, went for the ILS, landed it CAT III, smiled to the cute young F/A, sleepless nights in Hong-Kong and Rio...and still trying to pay my bills --

Yeah, we don't have that problem. And we definitely do not fly for "peanuts".

yeah, you guys have no clue as to our pay...air inc. is off with their conversion factor!

You guys are right, SWA does have some poor class of people in the back. I've had Janet Reno when she was the Attorney General and last week I had Sen Graham of FL, we gotta keep those Democrats off our aircraft. As to being called the Geyhound of the sky just remember that it was Herb who first compared SWA to Greyhound.

In the last few months I had Tyra Banks, C Everet Koop (sp), Dick Clark, And Daryl Strawberry. I guess we take all kinds.....

Lear-

I don't care if you call Southwest the "pacer or yugo" of the skies. The point I was making is that when people think there is some kind of club or dress code to buy an airplane ticket, they are wrong. SWA will take everybodys money, regardless of dress, religion, color, race etc.... Money is money.

The best thing about payday at SWA is that the checks keep coming...and the company has not cut our pay.

You guys need to layoff Southwest and turn that energy where it belongs. Our own feeble fu*king airline management. It is interesting about Southwest in that the are simultaneously the most hated, feared, loved and admired Airline on this planet. In short, they are Frank Sinatra and you know something, the Chairman didn't get to be the Chairman lying down for punks outside the Fountainbleu.

Talk about "Greyhound"...what about the G gates in Dulles for United? That can't be helping them retain or gain pax.
