NEW YORK (AP) -- Southwest Airlines Co. may add flights to a third new major U.S. airport as early as next fall, as the low-cost carrier shifts its traditional focus on less-trafficked, secondary airports.
In an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday, Chief Executive Gary Kelly said there are "decent odds" the Dallas-based carrier will look to add flights to a new major U.S. airport next year, following the addition of Minneapolis-St. Paul and New York's LaGuardia Airport

Never ATL... too much AitTran there... CVG would make sense since it's being completely abandoned

From the Market Watch article, "Kelly said he was confident his airline could maintain its high standard for on-time efficiency despite the airport's reputation as a traffic bottleneck."

It would be so much fun being a fly on the wall in whatever NYC office those Texans from SWA meet in telling the Port Authority how to do its job.

The Port Authority is not PHL. Looks like Kelly and crew will have to learn this lesson the hard way.

Looks like Southwest is going to take on Delta. I say it's either CVG or MEM. BOS is another possibility. I know CVG board would jump at a chance to have SWA come to CVG. I forsee remodeling T-1 or building a brand new one to accomidate SWA.

My money is on BOS!

Is that before or after you bought your job?

I have a feeling we might be going after the shuttle pax since we are going to be in LGA.
So will it be Westjet or Volaris serving those routes?
After all, you don't mind an international code share!;)

COS. I hear WestPac is on their last legs.

Tanker Clown, How long have you been at Southwest? I just figured out that you are an employee of Southwest Airlines. That's so frickin' hilarious, you've been firing up all these Southwest guys, and you're one of them.

Classic.

Hey IDIOT, I'm sure you and A$$ clown know a lot about servicing each other so why don't you guys do some brain storming and get back with us on the location.

Did you and your girlfriend bravodude ever figure out who went "deep enough?"
Be careful out there, expecting snow today in MDW!

My money is on CVG or ATL.....Here comes Herb's turds...

Man, FI sure has devolved into worthlessness. Used to be a good website for good information, but now it's just a bunch of flamebait from pilots who have no control over their company's direction but act like they are all in the inner circle. This website was developed to help out your fellow pilot brother or sister - not stomp on them. Sad indeed.

It will be ATL, CVG and BOS!! Why only open one? I also think we will buy someone soon!! Airtran or Frontier, who knows!

I hope they don't make an attempt to come to CLT. I would hate to have to fly on that cattle car carrier that would take 3 legs to get to and from the west coast.

The USAIR nonstops with meals and first class suit me a hell of a lot better!!
