Southwest Job Fair...

Does anyone have any advice on LUV's job fairs they have? I'm looking at attending one next week, but their website only briefly lists a few items to bring. Any ideas on what to expect and what dress code is expected/appropriate? Is there any additional paperwork I should bring, etc.--things like that! Thanks in advane for anyone's help!

The only job fairs I see is for Ramp Agents and Flight Attendants. Can you provide more info or a link?

Are they having a full up Job Fair in Dallas like last year, or is it just one of the recruiting events they do throughout the country?

I went to the Job Fair they held last June....good information...and a great chance to get some questions answered from the People Department as well as other pilots.

Either case, make sure your resume is up to date. Dress sharp casual...I wouldn't wear a suit...not their style. Save the suit for your interview.

I haven't been to a recruiting event, so I can't give you any more information.

They put out a flyer in the crew lounges a month or so before last June's pilot job fair. I have NOT seen any flyers or other postings in regards to a pilot job fair so far this year.

Chase have you heard anything about this?

Just called SWA...

Sorry to get hopes up...they said that the job fair was specific to Ramp Agents only--not just for Group sessions like the website says. Oh well, maybe someday they'll have one for the 600 pilot hopefuls they want for 2007!

SWA deems last year's job fair as very successful, so I wouldn't be surprised if they have another one. Of course, they got twice as many people last year than they expected, and could probably expect twice as many as that this year.

Nope....nothing on the radar scope...I'm sure it will get VERY WIDE distribution when the news is announced....stay tuned!!!!
