In the back yard, enjoying a little capt'n and coke (with a lime) watching the sun pass by here in sunny FL... and my leg buzzes... I pick up the blackberry to see the latest announcement... very nice. Looks like the week before Turkey day will be enjoyable for some! I'll keep the suspence lingering till someone fills the rest in

I'm just surprised you keep a blackberry next to you while you're relaxing drinking a captain and coke in your backyard - and you admit the fact you have a blackberry in the first place. Now that's cool...

Still a good question, though - what were you doing with your Dingleberry on your leg whilst off duty? That thing goes in the drawer the second I get home, and doesn't come out til I'm on my way to the airport.

Well..... would you believe my cousin works for a Fire Department in Boston and likes to forward me the alarm calls. If you dont believe that, then my excuse is all my NJ friends text me while theyre on the road...

FYI, Blackberrys are issued to all pilots at NetJets.

And your point? That's fine and dandy that all NJ guys get a dingleberry - but WTFO having that next to you drinking a cocktail in your backyard? Wow...I wouldn't admit that in public next time.

Give me a break. This blackberry aka crackberry is addicting. I can't stop
looking up all the free ferry flights me and my family can take.

"Honey could you finish grilling the steaks ? I need to check in WITH MY BLACKBERRY, on my DAYS OFF, to ensure that the company doesn't need me today...dang, only 16 days left on vacation...where does the time fly ?"

Haha - good one...no, I'm just putting on my mess dress so I can get to the O'club and sing "You've lost that loving feeling." Coat, check...shoulder boards, check...medals, check...blackberry, umm no check.

Funny how we haven't heard from Hazmat much since he started the thread. Oh, that's right, he's busy checking his blackberry on his days off drinking a cocktail in his backyard. If only we could all exhibit such coolness. Hazmat, don't forget your shirt garders next time you throw your sweet fractional uniform on.

All in all, I'm kidding with you...I'm sure you fly an amazing ILS with your flight director autopilot. I'm in awe of your outstanding civilian instrument skills.

Yah, and when I was there at US Check...as it were, you would be lucky if you even had a piece of your own ass left after Craig Washka got done chewing yah out. Flight director or autopilot? Yup, your right that nobody knew what either of those were. They were like some myth or something out there.

I respect any of you that fly single pilot night freight...

As far as you guys laughing at this guy who checks his blackberry on his off days, isnt it as bad as us reading and writing on this website on our days off.

I'm not serious - that's why I said I'm kidding with you at the end...i.e. giving the guy a hard time.

Typing here is just my free time. Turning on the dingleberry is like wanting to know whats going on with work and reading all of the most recent company information. They are similar, but on my free time, I dont turn on my blackrasberry.

Sorry Scrappy I couldn't respond. I was at work the last few days and I don't carry a computer. I was having difficulty with that dang flight director again. I guess when you've not had them for so long, its tough to trust them... but you know that, cuz we're both Pilot Gods in our own simple minds. Glad to know you care about me!
Ya caught me, red handed, walking around with the dingleberry on my days off.. what can I say! Well I'm a dork, plain and simple. Hope to run into you in a bar there good buddy, I might just buy you a capt'n n coke. Whadda ya think?

Does this mean you have a weekend swap? That must really suck, never having a weekend off.

Lets see, I usually get home tuesday around 6pm. I still have time to cut the grass and get it out for wednesday morning trash. Gives me all day wednesday to do my "chores". Thursday to play an early 18 holes. Friday, take the boat to the lake. sat and sun on the water. monday clean up. tuesday cut the grass again. Yeah, it sucks only having 7 days off in a row.

and this is everyother weekend.
