The slogan the past few years in the airlines has been we can't raise prices because we can't give up market share. We are better off flying at a loss to keep our customers than raise prices and loose customers to other airlines. Well we are about to enter summer flying season, I've been hearing flights are oversold (for several days straight to some places) yet NWA is continuing to remove planes. Last I knew that meant less seats for the customers (who appearantly are abundant again). What happened to we can't give up market share? Did they decide it's ok to give market share as long as it's attacking it's own workforce and not looking to force a different airline out of business?
