Ok, General (and others). I will eat some crow (Texas BBQ style) and admit that my source was not correct. I still believe that DAL will end up bankrupt this month(they just reported $5.00 per share in loses today, and I don't even think the stock is worth $5.00), but it is not likely to happen by the COB today as my source stated.

It tastes about the same as the last time I had to eat some. But, the sauce makes it a little better.

I think this is a good lesson in terms of creating titles for posts: try not to be so definite unless you are absolutely certain... Including a "possible" or "might" in the title is less hazardous.

Reminds me of that post about "American Buying Delta 777s"... It was completely false and the title was too definite....

It may be a bitter-sweet victory for the General. I fear the the BK filing is still coming soon, it just didn't happen when I was told it would.

From the AJC today: "Delta, stuck in a three-year losing streak, also said cash reserves had dropped to $1.45 billion at the end of September. That is just under the amount at which analysts say Chapter 11 bankruptcy becomes an imminent possibility."

From Ray Neidl: "I've changed my mind from December to early November" for a bankruptcy filing.

My whole deal here was the title of Sleepy's post. That's it. I know we are in dire straits, and we very well may file soon. I just didn't like how Sleepy was SOOOO CERTAIN that we were going to file last week, and then we did not. I am not blind to this situation. No loops or barrel rolls here. The situation still $ucks. I hope Dalpa can come up with something soon.....
