Maybe if ASA aimed lower and flew the 900 for 50 seat rates they would be "rewarded" with more flying. Wake up...Skywest is no better than any other average regional airline.

Skywest pilots are not flying the 700/900 at 50 seat rates and at the end of the year, Skywest pilots still make more then any other regional pilot for the same hours; even more then those that make a more hourly rate.

I've seen SKW's workrules and payrates and agree that they're better than many others...but that is a pretty bold statement.

My bonus last year for 900 hrs. of flying was $8000.00. That's just one of numerous ways we make more. Need I list the many other ways we make more.

I have a friend at Xjet and 2 friends at Horizon. We've compared paychecks. Both airlines make more hourly then Skywest, yet I made more then all my friend for the approx. same hours. My Xjet friend has been there 1 year less then I've been here and my Horizon friends have both been there just a few months more.

I'll take your word for it - there's no need for you to pull out a ruler, but thanks for offering...:puke:

If you subtract your bonus (which admittedly is still compensation, and evidently pretty healthy at that) how did you compare with your friends then? No flame, honestly curious.

I worked at Skywest...you are flying the 700/900 for 50 seat rates. And...it is a average regional!

Of course it is because you have now moved on to greener pastures i'm assuming. Where are you now? Probably somewhere very respectable. Have you worked at Pinnacle, TSA, PSA, Mesa, Mesaba, GoJet, Great Lakes, Colgan, Eagle/Horizon( 7+ year upgrade), ASA?...... I would consider those places "average" knowing a lot of people that work at those various places. or maybe I'm just drinking the kool-aid huh? Kool-aid that has been drenched in everclear, chilled, and frozen into about 500 lovely jello shots.

You should always know that the first of the year Captain goes very senior!! Who wants to be in training durring Thanksgiving and Christmas. So yes I can see her telling you its going to be 6 months. Stop complaining about a 2.5 year or even a 4 year upgrade. Talk to all the Eagle or Horizon pilots about that one.

So, let's see here. You say that SkyWest pilots are the best paid in the industry? That can't be right.

How is that possible now that ASA has a higher hourly rate (industry leading in the fee-for-departure world), plus the same or better workrules as SkyWest, as well as the same profit sharing plan?
