Got to love monopolies! With guaranteed near-monopoly on flying - you can be as inefficient, as unproductive, as expensive as you want to be. No free-market motivation to be competitive or anything. Now if we can get rid of that pesky DOT reporting - no one would know any better! Sweet!!

[NOTE: Not saying that this is or will be the case, but this kind of deal in the free-market does exactly that.]

Your wrong. ASA has to meet certain performance and financial goals to retain the 80% requirement. Its not a monopoly at all.

Well, duh. He runs the place, Uncle's business, owns a chunk of it....

Job protection? At Jerry's pleasure. It pleased Jerry to strip 26 jets from ASA. It was a violation of status quo.

Your loyalty is not reciprocated. Ask Jerry who you work for.

All a matter of perspective, I guess....

Jerry has negotiating leverage with DAL on our behalf...ALPA says they have none....I'll support whomever negotiates with DAL....Right now that is Jerry.....ALPA has decided it doesn't want to represent us....

Of course it a member of perspective.....Your perspective has changed because you are on the other side of the fence....ALPA can either tear down the fence...or we can defend our respective turf....

How many times do I have to go over this with you?

Jerry negotiates with Delta. He has to, that's the way business works. ASA ALPA negotiates with ASA management. ASA management can't control Delta flying. I'm sure if they could we would have all of it.

The 80% flying out of ATL clause protects only SkyWest Inc., not the ASA pilot group. Watch in a month or two all the new SkyWest planes you see in ATL. ASA will be nowhere near 80%, but SkyWest Inc. will be.

How many times do I have to go over this with you....ALPA can negotiate on behalf of anyone it wants to with DAL....

Read these letters....The ASA one was written by Bob Arnold...someone I know you respect...

Read the response from DAL very carefully....

You have bought into the ALPA lies....

It's very simple....Jerry negotiates with DAL on our behalf...ALPA will only negotiate with ASA...I'll go with Jerry until such time as ALPA wants to wake up.....
