Not sure what you mean, but if you work at SkyWest, your job is still in jeopardy...it's called working at an airline. Of course, if SkyWest furloughs...they could furlough out of seniority, or by base, or whatever suits them...one more reason I wish we had union representation. Thanks 67%ers. You're right, at that point, pay doesn't matter, but I think strong representation still would.

You will never know now will you? The fact of the matter is that Skywest pilots do NOT have any leverage when "negotiating" their pay and work rules. You do NOT have the ability to self help and therefore you will not have real good faith bargaining that provides you with a "fair" wage. Only a union can provide any of that. And until then, Skywest pilots will continue to ride the coat tails of other unionized pilots as Skywest management has suggested in their own SEC filings!

SkyNation, look up the pay rates, and rigs (soft money) in our new contract, then subtract 1.95%.

We're still making more than you will be with this joke of a raise.

And as someone else pointed out, what happens to you if DAL and UAL merge? They won't need as much RJ feed, and it would be a lot easier for Inc. to furlough from the non union side. They don't have to follow seniority or recall rules.

Why would any employee think that management would serve their best interests first? Management has a fiduciary duty to keep costs low and profits high. Therefore, management will serve its own best interests FIRST and then consider the employee groups. I guess the 67% never considered that basic logic. Unions are never perfect solutions, but your pilot group has shown that without collective bargaining you have LITTLE to show for your efforts. Zip.
