Beer30? said:Not to be too suspicious, but a guy with only one post and only 152s and 182s in his profile got a call from Cassidy? All of my communication from SKYW came via email (I'm in the pool). Has anyone else been contacted? Can any one on the inside confirm this?

wilde737 said:Congrats hopeful! I got the call from Cassidy today as well. I was originally going to be in jet class, but was offered the BRO class instead. Cassidy said that there would not be a jet class for "quite a while" and that they are offering the first 20 in the pool the BRO class. See ya on the 13th!

L.Skywalker said:A little OT, but: Say one was prevented from taking a date or even an interview for 15 months from, say, a pending criminal charge that was then dropped, how might such a delay affect a pilot now just getting back into the game? preferrably a quantifiable answer, as in $$, due to the pleasure they bring lawyers.
Thanks in advance.

Exskydiverdrivr said:Just in case you're not trolling. Very stupid. These guys get hired start flying a line rather quickly, and build seniority. You wait for the Little Shiney Jet, finally get called 8 months or so down the road. Just as you finish training , these guys come off seat lock and make the transition, and take all the flying while you sit reserve for a year.
All the while you get your 19.02 an hour- never break guaranty {sic} and feel that it's just not fair.
No offense to your wife, but how much airline experience does she have? Odds are good she's praising you because you told her what a good decision it was. Maybe you showed her some pictures of the beat up old brasilia compared to the pretty new CRJ? Did you explain to her that friends and neighbors will respect you more for being a jet pilot? Maybe she (and you) have a good reason to support your decision. Care to let us in on your reasoning?cougarblue said:man you guys and gals are so quick to judge me for waiting....come on...while you guys are insulting me, my wife is praising me! its a good thing im in the business of making my wife happy....and not you guys!
Give us a hint and maybe we won't be so hard on you. What is your position?cougarblue said:i would bet that most of you (at least the smart ones) would probably make the same decision i made if you were standing in my same position!
