15 new airplanes in the next 5 months, and no new hire classes during the first quarter? Is SKYW so flush with pilots that they can staff this? Are there a bunch of people on reserve that are not flying many lines?

Beer30?

One List. Guys and Gals Skywest might be getting the 70's now and SGU might be closing the ASA SLC base and that might be a good thing for some. Someday the shoe will be on the other foot and you will be in the posistion that ASA SLC pilots are in now. We need to look past this month, 2006, and 2007 and get together so that we don't have to fight these battles. The 70 is a fun airplane to fly, but at what price are we willing to fly it for? We need to be one list working together for the pilots and the company equally. (that is if the company wants to work with any of us)

The pillaging has begun.

To the victor go the spoils.

They lost a bunch of flying with the DAL bankruptcy cutbacks so they are fat on pilots at this time. SLC took a fairly good hit in block hours from what I hear. It looks like it will take a few months of new airplane growth to take up the slack then they will start hiring again.

Just announced today aircraft will go to OO.

Will, the ten UAL 70s for JAN and FEB have been on the books for some time and the 5 70s for DAL spread over MAR, APR & MAY have just kinda shown up on the fleet schedule with no announcement that I have seen.

Where did you see the company make any statement about these (or any more) aircraft?

indeed. the Jan. bid packet for SLC had only 162 hard lines, down from over 200 during the summer. reserves swelled to over 100, way out of whack.
