SKYW is in a dangerous spot right now. Their cash value is so great somebody may be tempted to move in and choppy choppy. Just an observation.

If someone still had money or credit to buy airlines in this economy.

Pretty sure there is much more to it than choppy choppy W

I was referring to someone buying SKYW up and chopping it up for it's cash value....which is much more than the $8.?? it's at now. I'm guessing more like 12 -14 per. Like I said, just an observation of one possibility.

Book value on SKYW is $22.63. $12.32 of that is cash.

With over $700 million in the bank it looks like a good time for a buyback.

Yeah,
Buy it and get all that nifty ground equipment. SKYW leases the planes, and all the contracts have poison pill provisions, hostile takeover invalidates all the contracts, per the contracts.
Ding fries are done!

Sorry I touched a nerve.

"Impairment of Long-Lived and Intangible Assets

As of December 31, 2007, we had approximately $2.7 billion of property and equipment and related assets. Additionally, as of December 31, 2007, we had approximately $28.5 million in intangible assets."

Math isn't your strong suit. I understand.
The mop bucket is in the closet.
