Hello!
I was a Skywest EMB120 pilot at Fresno from Feb04 to Sept 06 (FO and CA). Now a B747 FO at an ACMI, thinking about UAL. Looking for some of the furloughed UAL guys I used to work with, to ask a few questions and maybe a referral. PM me if you're out there! Thanks!!
Sorry to hear that....Now a B747 FO at an ACMI
I like those ACMI operations.
They are the closest you can come to scabbing without actually crossing a picket line.

Yes, and so did pilots at UAL and CAL. Are all scheduled 121 pilots scabs? Lets not paint all with a broad brush...all I'm saying.
"If you fly ACMI, you are a scab." This is what Mr. Frank said above.
OK, so uncle Frank was a little harsh on the ACMI pilots.
Let me clarify why I LOVE ACMI!
If any of the pilots decide to "strike", I simply set up a block space agreement with the other carriers and voila!.... ACMI scabs. Look at it this way, it is a win-win for everybody. The executives get their cargo to where they want it to be, and the pilots can weasel out of being called a scab by telling everyone they are "just flying ACMI."
So easy, an x-executive-banned-from-the-airline-world can do it!

I also love the lame attempt at "struck cargo." The last time a group of pilots tried declaring this, their cargo "brothers" at competing carriers gleefully flew the freight to all corners of the globe.
I love it!
