Go get another job if this one's not working out for you. I'm working on my resume, as are most people. Tell me, it is the handful of DUIs or the kiddie porn charge that is keeping you from applying elsewhere?

Why should I go get another job - I'm not the one who is unhappy here. I'm glad you are looking elsewhere. I hope you find a better job, we can both agree on that!

Umm.. you're in the minority here. Wait... I have an idea... You and your fellow 8% can continue to fly while we strike. How does that sit with you? As I've said many times before, I'm not unhappy here. I like the people I work with and I like my job. I know that ASA could be a fine airline given a management team that is worth a dang. I want this airline to succeed. However, I won't sit back and let it attempt to succeed on the back of the employees. They could break my back and yours, and while we work for free they'll still dick it up. Why can't you get it through your thick scull that ASA's problems are due to a management failure.

You know, I used to think you were a G/O monkey, but the more you post the more I believe your claims that you're a line pilot. In fact, I think I know you. Let me guess. You commute from Virginia. You were an IOE guy on the Brasilia. Sound familiar? If you're who I think you are, then I truly understand why you are terrified to see this airline fail. However, you must understand that it is management who has failed you, not ALPA.

First of all only a few want what you guys have, and that would only be your 50 seat pay. So you guys take our higher paying 70's to make the same thing you make flying a 50. Our 70 rate is higher than your 50 rate. Clear now?
Wait a minute, you want your cake and the ice cream too...Lessee SKYW lied to us and made promises they had no intention keeping. Now the managment at SKYW is transferring assets to the side of the corperation whos employees who are more expensive than you guys. What part of this equation don't you get? I wouldn't give you a cup of warm spit for a pilot position at ASA, How do you think SKYW stays union free for more than 30 years? I don't agree or even like it one bit, but I am a realist, and the reality of this situation is not nice, but then what part of this business is?
Wake up, you are up against masters and you don't even realize it

I've talked with quite a few former ASA pilots that have come to SkyWest and not one has had anything good to say about ALPA. One former ASA pilot stated that he would probably stay at Skywest to retirement but will quit if ALPA is voted in.

But they are all wrong I suppose, huh Tomclit?

They don't know if they are talking with a pro management pawn that may label them pro ALPA which could get them fired during their probation. With an organizing drive it is even more dangerous to work at SkyWest and display pro ALPA sentiments. You should be able to relate to that since there are mystery firings at SkyWest for those that are labeled undesirable (pro Union). If he left ASA to go to SkyWest for a career he is not very bright. If ASA is unsuccessful in securing a quality contract then SkyWest pilots will be forced to lower their contract to the new ASA contract standard. Surely you can figure this out. Your attrition is equal to ASA's so things must not be so wonderful in Non Union World.

SKYWEST PILOTS BENEFIT FROM THE EFFORTS OF UNION AIRLINE PILOTS EFFORTS. YOUR MANAGEMENT WANTS TO BE UNION FREE AND PAYS THE PILOTS WELL TO REMAIN UNION FREE. YOU SHOULD HAVE A KEEN INTEREST IN SEEING ASA AND OTHER CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS SUCCEED. SKYWEST PILOTS PAY DEPENDS ON OUR SUCCESS.

You're shrinking, thats not successful. Sounds like your drinking ALPA kool-aid by the pitcher, come up for air.

Sounds like you are clueless. Read the last paragraph until you memorize it or until you get that mainline job. If we cave on our contract like you did on 70 seat rates you will be giving back to Uncle Jerry or musical airplanes will be your new game. Sorry I forgot you can't say no to Uncle Jerry you can only say YESSER BOSSMAN I likes my job and I don't want NO MO MONEY for 20 or 40 MO SEATS. Can I polish dem shoes for you Misser Jerry?

Posted on another thread but I want it answered:
Some one answer this one for me.....If Skywest starts to remove airframes from ASA and put them at Skywest, isn´t that a change of status quo? Isn´t this a form of self help that neither side is allowed to perform? I know the excuses they could use as the reasoning, but if you really really look at it the airframes can still do the flying with ASA pilots out of SLC (even without a domicile!!)

Another thing.....and I could be mistaken, but I believe there is a clause in the sale of ASA that says it can be repurchased by Delta within a time frame. If this is true (and I sure would like to know), there is no way Skywest can get rid of ASA...atleast for that time frame!

Wassup..did you bust the sim in the Skywest interview or something? 6 more months man, then you can try again, should only cost you about 700 numbers in seniority.

Nope. I sent 3 of my wifes out for the interview. One to do the interview, one to do the sim check and one to do Jerry. Maybe the limit is two to an interview??

Then strike will ya! ALPA is just sitting here with it's thumb up it's a$$ while our flying gets transferred to Skywest. If the majority are with ALPA, and ALPA is so great and wonderful, why isn't anything GOOD happening? I'm sure the Skywest pilots are watching ALPA's failure here and it's no wonder ALPA can't win at Skywest.

Just the facts, 2 900's registered as 104EV and 105EV went to SKYW and were quickly changed.
Add 2 more to the list that ALPA says its all a game.

So why does "IUSTACHECKUM" not checkum anymore? Did you move over to management or just get thrown out of the training department?

I am sure some of the SkyWest pilots are wondering how many little sniveling whiners like you, OhPlease, MELIT, and the like ASA has? There may only be one of you because the company will gladly pay the $10 fee for your different logins. We may have our thumbs up our a$$ but you could draw a detailed picture of your colon because your head is always up your a$$ when it is not up managements a$$. You should change your screen name to Roto Rooter!

Yeah, you talked to all of the pussies that left ASA because they are afraid of a little fight! Of course you would NOT know anything about that right Dip@HIT! I mean, you do EXACTLY what your mgmnt tells you because YOU HAVE TOO! DOH! Oh yeah, how is flying those 90's for 50 seat wages? Jack@ss!

That's funny, because 105EV is registered to a MD-11.

There's a little technicality called the RLA and being released from mediation preventing that. You do know that don't you?

I'm sure that if the ASA pilots ever get released from mediation they'll strike.
