P.S. don't mind Propsync he's just mad about the fact his avatar is taller than he is.

Hey Moose did Skyway get a hold of you this past week for the OCT 23 class? Were you in the pool? I just trying to figure out what the heck is going on out in MKE! Give me the low down if you have anything-

Skyway!

I did receive a call, but I was up flying so it went to my voicemail. I tried calling them back on Friday and did not have any luck. Im just trying to see how much more room there is compared to our king air 100.

I think there is a little more room in the 1900 vs the king 100. Im sure they are pretty close tho. Anyway they called me too but want me to go through the interview process again?? Kinda weird since I already did it!!?? Did they say the same for you?

I sent a resume to them last December and got a call last week...go figure. Good luck to all you guys at Skyway. It sounds like things have been going downhill there.

Yah

They called me Friday too, for interviews Mon/Tue but it was a bit quick for me. Asked if they had later dates, said they'd call back, never did. Real nice though. My return call at 450PM CST went to their voicemail. We'll see if they call back. Plus I'd have to drive several hours to get on a flight they operate, I have an SOS test and scheduling issues Wed, etc. etc.

I was told we aren't bidding on the EAS routes during renewal, so if we can get somebody to take them off our hands, it's all done. Rumor mill says Beeches might stay till Summer to wrap everything up, plus to help cover the shortfall in jet crews for us (equipment swaps, jet to Beech).

Midwest Connect curbs service to U.P.

Midwest Connect plans to drop service to four communities in rural Michigan this spring, a company spokeswoman said.

Midwest Connect, a regional carrier affiliated with Oak Creek-based Midwest Airlines, currently serves Escanaba, Iron Mountain and Ironwood -- all of which are in the Upper Peninsula -- as well as Manistee through a program subsidized by the U.S. Department of Transportation, said spokeswoman Carol Skornicka. The program pays airlines that serve small, remote destinations.

Midwest Connect plans to drop out of the program when its contract ends May 31 because the carrier is phasing out its use of turboprop aircraft, Skornicka said. Another carrier, Great Lakes Aviation, is seeking to pick up the subsidized service after Midwest Connect's contract ends, she said.

How long is training?

(Now, it's been a long time since I was a new-hire, so if someone with more recent experience chimes in, I'd take their word over mine, but here it is...)

Pay- 1st year FO pay starts first day of ground school.
Housing- We stayed at the Red Roof down the street from HQ. We got a Skyway discount; the ground school instructors might be able to offer more current suggestions, but at the least there are a few hotels near HQ.
Training- About 3-4 weeks ground school, 10 stimulator sessions, mixed in with a few days off, oral exam, sitting time between ground and sim training, etc. Probably 2 to 2.5 months from beginning to completing sim training.

Good luck! Any word on if you're going to the Beech or Dorkjet?

thanks for the response. In the interview they told me it would be a jet class. But we all know how quickly things change.

Hi!

Glad U got the job, and I hope it goes good for you.

They wouldn't interview me, I think because I was in a non-flying job.
