So I guess the union forgot about the SCOPE clause in the contract? Don't let mesa in, remember your current beech rates are thanks to them.

Our Beech rates are higher than just about everyone else out there that flies the 1900. Anybody else have any good ideas for us to get rid of one type so we can get another?

I have an idea on what new equipment we should get. I think that we should get rid of all things that fly, buy busses and boats and sail our customers and drive them to places like GRB, FNT, ESC, and so on. Our costs would go down and so would our labor. Hell why don't we just stop flying airplanes all together, imagine how much money we could save.

How intelligent!!

Well im not leaving until they pry my fingers off the yoke of the Beech....or furlough me:) As far as I know, it's all speculation and they are just testing the market. Im not putting the cart before the horse and as long as I am logging time in the left seat of the Beech it would be foolish to. Joey...yer still scum....:p

I know I'm scum unlike others to afraid to admit it
Whatever shakes out for SYX I hope for nothing but the best for MOST  of the people there.
Me I'm going box hauling, screw SLF.

I agree, as long as the light turns green on the ID scanners, I got a job. If rumors pan out, at least one year before anything happens. I just love A/C 79.

every time I get in the left seat of 79 I can't help but think about the bowel movement incident that occured in that seat some time ago

It must be your upbringing...

Sounds like you bring nothing but good luck to whatever airline hires you.

I think maybe you should go to Mesa, or Pinnacle, or one of the Republics.

Spread your good fortunes with them.

You know...it's so easy for people like you to continue the search to find ways to show your CLASS at each opportunity that is provided to you.

But each time you open your mouth, put a pen down to paper, or start pressing the keys on computer, I bet it's frustrating for you find that you have NONE!

Well said Bunny!!

Yeah, there isn't going to be one. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. There isn't going to be a new one for a long time. Better start sending your resume's elsewhere.

GOULET!

Ditto on MR. Goulet's advice.

ya, i would tend to agree with them. we are fully staffed now and unless there is a mass exodus, we only have a few guys going to Midwest pretty soon here... not enough to hire more i would say, but who the heck knows crazier things have happened! Good Luck!!

I think that about 40 FO's will be gone by the end of summer. Mngt did not address negative rumors in a timely manner (no damage control). Low and not so low seniority guys already sent out resumes last week....30 days for interviews...60 days for a class date at another regional with some growth potential....then SYX will be hiring again 250TT/50 multi pilots to keep BE1900's flying til end of 2007.

Thanks for Posting!

Thanks for everyones reply's. Well lets hope for crazier things to happen. Would be nice to stay in the Midwest. I have alot of friends at Skyway lets hope for the best.

not any more..... i think there was a bit of sarcasm to that statement. We did however hire some real low timers.

nice opinion

Scope

Scope is useless. I am pretty sure you didn't mean anything negative to the hard working, dedicated and strikingly handsome negotiating committee from the most recent contract :D. Unfortunately, as we can see throughout the industry, you can't scope the holding company. In my opinion, Section 2 is a waste of paper in every contract currently printed.

79 got two new seats up front a month ago if that makes you feel any better
