Pay is about $16,000 a year. I'm not positive about all the bennies but I think you can non-rev on Skyway and Midwest only.

The pay is better than 16K but not a lot the first year or two.... but with that said... im happy with my job and work with a lot of great people!

Upgrade time is very short at Skyway. I was hired in January and am scheduled to upgrade in the jet in August. Can't wait.

Any Skyway pilots here commute? If so what is the QOL like? I live and would like to stay in downtown Chicago and am just starting to do some research. If the whole CVG thing works out, would pretty much all new hires be there? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

There are a fair amount of commuters in the Skyway ranks. Many are from Michigan, Iowa or Illinois. I think the potential CVG base would be much more commuter friendly with an availiablity of more flights going to and from work as well as potentially better work schedules. There is a commuter policy in the contract as well. I think it's the standard pick two flights, try for the both of them and you're off the hook. As far as QOL goes I'd say pretty good. There is no "ready reserve" which makes reserve days better however there is the JA ("Junior Assigned" on a day off) possibility which has never happened to me and if it does you get compensated VERY well.

I have an interview this week. Any insights from current/ former employees would be great. What are the benefits? How is morale? What is the turnover rate, do people tend to stay long or move on quickly? How is the interview process?
