1500 Turbine PIC
ATP
FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
20/20 corrected vision
Required to show up on first day of work with a laptop computer with wireless internet connectivity and capable of reading a memory stick and CD-ROM
Legally authorized to work in the USA

There will be no lack of pilots trying to get on with them...Sonny and Cher or not. If you were a commuter pilot, wouldn't you jump at the chance to fly an Airbus rather than a CRJ especially for the same pay?

No, why handle more responsibility (FA's Pax, etc..) and have to take a risk with a very shakey company. You would also be shooting yourself in the foot, if you ever hope to make a decent living as an airline pilot.

But you are probably right, they will be tripping over themselves for the opportunity to fly a "BIG" jet.

For the same pay? No. I rather stay where am at and enjoy a decent quality of life then jump to a new start-up that could be gone in a year. Who cares about "bigger" especially for the same money. We only fly a cockpit and a cockpit is a cockpit.

However you are correct. They will have no problem attracting pilots with Shiny Jet Syndrome who are willing to be, possibly, the lowest paid Airbus (or 110-130 seat) pilots in the industry, thereby dragging the rest of us down with them.

A CP possition for only 65k a year?!? Ya, gotta' be kiddn' me? If they're looking for pilots with 5k total time and 1500PIC while Fedex, Southwest, UPS, Continental, and many others are hiring- they're gonna be really shocked. Wait until Delta and possibly United join in.

Sincerely hope that the majors and LLC's team up and go for blood on this one. I'd give them a year...........after they have to start paying off their aircraft.

In Kansas, to help fertilize our wheat fields, we done use a special mix of manure that in the rising Kansas sun, looks a heck of a lot like the color of that there Skybus airplane.

I don't know if that there aiplane smells like our Kansas manure, but if they're paying pilots like farmhands and charging practically two bits for a ticket, I'm willing to bet my overalls that some of them passengers are going to smell real bad. I hope Skylav don't come anywhere near Kansas and that includes flying over at Flight Level 370. I know them cheap airlines dump their lavs up there to save themselves ramp costs. I don't want to get hit in the head by no flying piece of blue lav waste.

At least the color of that there plane ain't pink.

I like how these POS companies cant even do a spell check on their website.

The website also says they will be flying 150 seat aircraft. Are they really going to cram 150 people in a A319?

I am not a big fan of UAL and AA, but I really hope they fight these start ups.

....They are also promising......"on time arrivals" and "no lost bags". Dont these people ever learn.
