4. Don’t call us.

We don’t have a phone number. Seriously. We’d love to chat, but those phone banks are expensive. And a good website like www.skybus.com is even more convenient

On a side note: their uniforms are hideous. I was on the employee shuttle in CMH the other day and saw a couple of their pilots. Khaki shirts with dark green pants. I thought they were forest rangers or from the DNR at first. They looked about as cheap as their airfares.

The SHAME-TRAIN is in FLL..........taxied behind them yesterday - the CPT tried to sound like a cool American Mad Dog driver (well at least that is what he would refer to them as)......idiots.

Wasn't the question asking about load factors and not their uniforms? What is it with you guys and being able to turn any topic into a btch fest or some thread bashing each other? You guys get off on it or something? If so, you're really sad human beings...I feel sorry for your familys.

Shame-Train Dispatcher I presume...........

I poked around the website... I like when you choose to fly CMH to DAB you don't really fly to DAB, you fly to St. Augustine.

"You'll be arriving at St. Augustine Airport, with easy access to Jacksonville or Daytona Beach. "

Here's how it works:

Go to their website and go to 'book a flight.' Choose 10 people on the flight you want. If it pops up, there's at least 10 open seats. If the price that pops up is lower than some of the others, there are more than 10 seats. The lower the price, the more open seats.

How are they doing that? St Augustine is a straight GA airport with no terminal or TSA. Also there are more of the Riddle pilots doing 10 mile finals in 172's at that airport then you can shake a stick at.
Loads, well the girl at FLL says they are strong until Labor day then they are taking a huge dump.

yeah, that is a very rough way to do it.... but that might tell me if a given flight is 99% full vs. 95% full, which is pretty full either way you look at it. it won't tell me if a flight is 20% booked vs. 75% booked, that is what i'm curious of... overall load factor right now from the start.

Check out Seattle, you'll land in Bellingham, WA Half way to Vancouver, Canada. Also, check out Boston. You'll land in Portsmouth, NH

This is stuff that's been rehashed hundreds of times already. The passengers know where they're going. There have been no reports of anyone landing in Bellingham and thinking they were going to be in downtown Seattle.
Keep in mind that most of the airports SX goes into ARE the main airports of that city.

My guess is that SX....which might as well be SuX....well be around for a little while. Probably stabilize at a fleet size similiar to what allegiant has now. But never really be a threat to anyones jobs. You don't see many companies sitting down at the negotiating table wanting to include allegiant, champion, pace, etc...in bargaining for contracts. Doesn't make their crap pay any better though.

Ok..This is the one area I agree with!! It is about time an airline got rid of the crappy white collars and ties! I say this is the ONLY cool thing about Skybus. More uniforms like this I say! SWA has a hot FA uniform..why not? A pilot is not judged by the clothes they wear. Be comfortable and look nice. That can be done far better than a sweaty rumpled shirt I see on half the airline guys out there in summer. Besides forest rangers are cool!

Do you not think it's misleading to advertise that you fly to Seattle, when Bellingham is 100 freaking miles away? Why not just advertise that you fly to BLI?

A pilot is not judged by the clothes they wear.

Actually, we are. The passengers know nothing about us other than what they see when we walk up to the podium and grab the paperwork. Passengers don't want a forest-ranger flying their plane; they want a professional pilot. Like it or not, our uniforms have remained largely unchanged for 70 years, and that's what the passengers want to see.

Well, let's look at that:

"Boston" = Portsmouth, NH, 50 miles away
"Hartford" = Westover, MA, 30 miles away
"Seattle" = Bellingham, WA, 94 miles away
"Vancouver" = Bellingham, WA, 50 miles away
"Daytona Beach" = St. Augustine, FL, 60 miles away
"Jacksonville" = St. Augustine, FL, 35 miles away
"San Francisco" = Oakland, CA, 20 miles and a bridge away
"Los Angeles" = Burbank, CA, 16 miles away.

6 of their destinations are in the main airports of their advertised cities, while 8 are into airports ranging from 16 to 94 miles away.

How exactly does that add up to, "most of the airports SX goes into ARE the main airports of that city"?

It's deceptive advertising, no matter how you rationalize it.

Yawn....it's not deceptive when it's stated on the web site exactly what airport you'll be flying into. It's just like the fine print on any contract...if you don't read it, you can be held accountable.....sure it sucks, but businesses do things to their advantage....all businesses.

Did someone above just call an SX pilot a turd? I feel like I'm on a playground with a bunch of 10 year olds....the sad part is that most of you are probably much older than me.
