why would you wish SX to fail? So you wish for families to have their livelihoods destroyed? Think about all the negative things that happen when a company goes out of business. I hope your dog dies!....does that make you feel good? Probably not...so don't go wishing bad things on anyone else. Grow up!
And on a side note, not everyone takes jobs purely for the money...it's a quality of life for many people....people take jobs for less money all the time when they factor in what kind of life they get to have with it.....maybe higher seniority.....being home everynight....being close to family.....being around people who are generally nicer than where they were working before....maybe those things are more important to people.

1. Did they think about it before they took a job with a company everyone said would fail. CNBC was laughing at Skybus.

2. My dog woke me up at 600am and I went to bed at 3am, so yes it would make me feel good.

3. Have fun at the bottom of another seniority list when your company shows its belly in spring

Hey...bjaviator

I'm not sure what your SMOKING kid..but...pay your dues at a 121 airline and grow some balls, then come and talk to me. Dont have dog..silly kid.

I think wishing Skybus to fail has everything to do with the state of the industry and nothing to do with the people of Skybus themselves. Anyone with half a brain would know taking a job at an upstart is risky to say the least, so if their families' lives are destroyed, they are to blame for not being pragmatic about the situation. What the industry doesn't need is another dirtbag operator, that pays far below standard, etc. I don't see Skybus as a threat to anything except the lucrative CMH market (sarcasim) and doubt they will be around in a year. Do I hope they fail? I don't care either way. Their employess will easily be able to replace a job like that. It is one step above a job like McDonalds. BTW- BGAviator, I would not take people bashing SB too personally. It is just business.

Pound sand idiot..........

SO the whole industry should have lower wages and work rules JUST to make some pukes in Columbus happy?!!

May SkyBus die a quick and painful death.

I am paying my dues at a 121....I'm not a pilot.....I decided not to join that bitter crowd a few years back...I'm also not a kid....I certainly don't think like one and make comments like one as opposed to a lot of you.

See, Ogres are like onions....they have layers....they also smell like crap, but taste oh so good when they're cooked and going down......tool.

There has been an upward trend for quite some time based on what you have said so they did not see this? Or put in place any contingencies? Charging 10 bucks for a ticket when we are at war or tense relations with oil producing countries (which spawns that fear) doesn't seem like a viable strategy to me.

Funny that you mentioned that because I have a hard time understanding that as well. The price of oil may be worth one figure and fear, speculation or some Arab in Opec is feeling irregular drives the price up. As a result the oil companies walk away with record profits.

I don't think the real price of oil has increased that much......the US dollar, however, is worth less and less, helping to drive the "price" up, not the value.
