Trainer jet:

Sorry for the redundancy, this is not the thread to duke it out re: seniority numbers. I was trying to avoid re-directing the thread from the original post...........I merely wanted to respond to an unsolicited attack.

Palerider957,

I definitely haven't forgotten where I came from, and have always felt fortunate to be getting paid for what I love to do, regardless of what plane I was flying. Yes, I enyoyed my 1Yr. 8Mos. at DAL, but I never rubbed anyones face in it. Good luck in your career.;) :)

Palerider,

Your true colors came out in you ridiculous post. You including me with the a$$holes at DAL or any other major makes you look like an idiot because you have no idea who I am, and I think everybody already sees that. Why don't you go and look at all my posts and tell me the time that I did not defend the regional guys. I know exactly where I came from and I was not bragging by any means about that. Just letting you know that I have been there and done that. I am furloughed, but I am flying and I am thankful for that, but what you don't seem to realize is that not all of us are against you. One list? Yeah I was at eagle and knew that would never happen back then so I moved on. And I flew 121 supplemental after eagle, before I made it to DAL. DAL management along with most of the CEO's out there in this industry are a bunch of A$$holes and you better believe they'll come knocking on your door for consessions. Do I think you guys should take a pay cut? NO...... Do you deserve one? NO I know how much money you make at the regionals and Im against it, but its a trend and management will be knocking soon. So don't go generalizing that all DAL new hires are A$$holes cause I could come back and say all of you Comair guys are RJDC guys. Dont know if you are or not, but Im not going to accuse you of it. So get the chip off your shoulder not all of us are against you.

Fair enough, man.

New Forum

You delta guys need a forum all your own where you can hijack every thread and cry and whine about each other and the unfairness of it all; just like you do here.

Hey Andy,
I have a thoughtful question for you. If SkyWest, ACA, XJet, and Mesa were in the business of selling seats for profit(no fee-for-departure), would they still have been profitable this year? In the jet regional/national category, I believe that Horizon is the only airline not supported by fee-for-departure and they were not profitable in the quarter. Simply curious and please correct me where needed.....

I seriously doubt it. Your point???

Express Jet's income doesn't include paying for their RJ's...those are paid for by Big CAL.

Fuzzy math.

That is incorrect SWA Guy (H.C.) :D

Actually aircraft leases and a lot of other things are paid for by ExpressJet. ExpressJet subleases their aircraft from CAL, but the leases are being paid by ExpressJet at this time.

Jimbo (T.G.),

Please accept my heartfelt apology. Now, when are we gonna get together for some beers at the Outback?

Adios,

HC

PS Don't you owe me money????

Andy, what an out of character answer for you.... My point is simply this, can skywest, aca, airwhiskey etc be profitable if they are actually selling seats and not just being paid to fly an empty airplane..And the point of that is, dont compare the profit that you can make as a contract carrier to that of an airline like southwest that is actually profitable because they have figured out how to haul people at a profit. You see if your contract rates get cut to the bone or done away with completely( and dont think for a minute that that cant happen), you would not be profitable in this market... with no way to market ,sell tickets, accept credit cards,no web check in, no online reservations etc, etc , how would you all stay in business. If I was a regional pilot ,I would be concerned about that sort of thing..And since you seem to have your ear to the ground on these types of issues, I was curious thats all...........
