You and I usually agree, but with a a cost of $28 mil a copy, the TEN is too expensive for mid size....

I never even considered the cost.. Good point... I think it depends on the customer.... I always thought the X was a very popular a/c for the owners, and it seemed to sell well for being a costly mid size back in the early 2000's.... But I haven't done any analysis (as useless as mine is) on that aspect......

Soemday we will hopefully find out, it sure is taking a long time to iron this order out!!!

I love flying the X and I'd like to see it included in our next order, but I wouldn't be surprised if its not.

A bigger issue than the cost is dispatch availability. The X was not designed with the fractional model in mind. Its like buying a Ferrari and then running it like a New York taxi cab. Its pointless buying an aircraft unless it can be operated at a profit.

I hear that a lot of X owners are fiercely loyal to the plane and I don't disagree, so the question is how do we sell a different aircraft to an existing or prospective X owner? How do we stop those folk jumping ship to XO Jet?

This where fleet flexibility of Netjets is an advantage. The speed advantage of the X only comes into play on longer legs (say over two hours). Netjets could put a package together for an X owner that says something like "We will sell you a share of a Soverign - but - if you book a trip that is longer than two hours we will upgrade you to a Global at no extra cost." I would think that would be an attractive offer to an owner.

What say you NJAOwner?

When, ever, has Netjets paid retail....

Exactly...and a TEN is forecasted to be $22 million confirmed by This months Pro Pilot...... 16 shares into less than $22 million comes out to a nice $$ amount for owners and NJA..

Of course still waiting on an order..

Still think the TEN will be part of an order....It's a sexy plane that owners who care about ramp presence will buy...

I click page 5 of this thread to see what the situation at citation air is and here we have discussion on how much net jets pays for citation x. Unbelievable.
