I was recently jumpseating on Shuttle to work and they told me that CHQ does their crew planning/schedules too. any validity?

Sounds more like using a contractor to perform services rather than setting up an independant organization. It's done everywhere all the time to save $$.

Are you sure you didn't hear the rumor from this past weekend?

The rumor was that there was going to be a rumor on monday. Monday's rumor was that there was going to be another rumor wednesday.

I've heard a rumor that there might be another rumor tomorrow... But then again that's just a rumor.

Hehe I.P.! I get asked all the time "what I've heard". I hear all sorts of things and as with most of the undocumented things I don't really believe anything until it happens. Heck, I have my own rumors (or ideas) that come to mind and share ideas with some flight crews...but nothing is ever written in stone until it's official.
