Well...You picked slow death. Ah well, time for you all to get a job I guess. I really can't blame you. And to all you FO's, hell, it's not as if the company is going to be around long enough to get that sweet upgrade and paycut.

It's nice to know that your management is willing to step over a ten dollar bill to pick up a penny. Maybe this gives them enough time to r@pe and pillage a bit further.

I drink to you!

godsgift2aviation....

.....What's this crap, "Look on the bright side, at least you'll have a paycheck."

You make me sick.

Just a thought. If anyone is leaving SA to go other places. A bit of advice - try not to go to PDT. The blind mismanagment at PDT makes the work experience there an incredibly terrible experience. Upgrades, downgrades, base openings, base closings, forced moves, have to fight for proper paychecks, pay cuts, understaffed, horrible schedules, scheduling abuses. They do there best to make a great, easy job a nightmare. A stellar pilot group, but that is it. The Union is trying hard but have made no progress in the last 5 years and is truely scared to stand up to PDT management or ALPA nat'l. USair group runs the show completly. Good luck. Fly safely.

You just described EVERY regional airline out there

I do have to admit that I find it snicker-worthy that someone from Eagle would be so happily pointing fingers at SA... Talking about our contract being up for renewal in 4-6 years, even, which is totally wrong. Try two. We didn't extend our contract, no matter how much you'd like to believe that.

How much longer until YOURS is up?

Our pay cut is for a year, whether I like it or not (it's up to you to figure out if I do, take a wild guess)... Whether or not we'll be around next summer is anyone's guess, but with things happening around here as they appear to be, we'll do just fine. Not well-paid, but fine.

And it's no consolation that you'll be hiring next year, I'd rather stay here and make my new, improved CP pay before I'd sit in the right seat, P-O'd for the following decade. You may think you have it great, but from my perspective, I'll take my own version of not-so-great over your great any day.

You were right about one thing, though... "I'd try for something else, though." Anything besides Eagle, thank you very much.

He's just happy that Eagle is no longer on the bottom of the whipping pole and is trying to celebrate.

Let him have his moment, we can all bash Eagle again in what.... 12 years maybe??

Eagle.......

Only happy when they're bashing........

You guys at SA have to do whats right for you, just don't cry when you do get the shaft and realize that it hurts badly.

I think that's a big reason for bashing Mesa, they all say "I didn't vote YES", riiiiiiiiiight!!! 78% voted yes, so someone is lying and crying.

:p

Eagle

When it comes to bashing I think we all should take a step back. Remember how hard it was to get to where we/you are today? The solidarity shown over 9/11 should in some respect be apparent now with everyone's contractual problems. People do what at the time they feel is the right thing to do, not, I think to hurt one or another group. We have seen some dreadful tactics used by Managment, and in todays climate "sudden death" is not an option. SA taking 12 months of conssesions does nothing to lower the bar other than that of the short term pocket book of those involved. Their contract will run for another 18 months after this chapter is closed. By then the industry will be stronger and the tables I think will begin to turn. A chance at life while a cure is found, if you like. Those who don't like it can move on, or choose to ride it out. Control albeit short term of your future is better in many resects than non existance and starting over in a climate that now if we were all flt instructors again would think twice about what we are doing! Good luck to all, and maybe think before "bashing"..I know everyone is entitled to opinions...
