When you get into one of those big airplanes that eat up a lot of runway, brief your Captain and tell him that the V1 VR V2 is between 100 and 200 Kts, since 50 doesn't mean anything. Or that we'll need between 6000-12000 feet of runway to takeoff/land. Oh, how about, roughing the fuel required on a trip to Hawai'i - attention to detail. Employers of large airplanes like attention to detail.
Give him/her a break. S/he's maybe proud of the last 50 hours. 1000 hours to 1050 takes some pilots 2 weeks, or 2 months. Every update shows progress, that they are flying - recency of experience. Employers like that
My resume, that I have been successful at getting calls back on, has my hours on it rounded up/down to full numbers, a column showing hours in last 6 months, and 90 days on it too.
Now...rant over...I'm going to WORK.

i have sent resumes out to ASA, PSA and Airwis.
everyone i see with comparable hours is getting the call is there something im missing. Or do i need to be more patient.
other expierineces on top of flight time is 9 years military(non aviation) is that a negative or positive.
any good advice would be appriciated

I am dissapointed to see that (in my opinion) that perception of you is apparently misplaced.
YOU didn't get hired at PSA by paying for some clown to teach you about the Jetstream (which you and I will both agree was significantly more challenging than any RJ). Why should these people waste their money on a CRJ course? PSA is not Southwest. And unless you start requiring a CRJ type-rating for employment, there is no reason for potential newhires to go spend hard-earned money that they probably do not have, to be trained in that airplane.
That is YOUR company's job. If they are not successfully completeting training than you have two choices. Hire more qualified candidates (i/e improve your interviewing) or improve your training department. One of them is falling down on the job -- its not likely to be the candidate.
I'm embarassed for you that you made such a suggestion.
