I must confess that I haven't read through this thread so if this has already been said by someone then I apologize in advance for trying to take their idea.

I think the new name should take Express Jets callsign and run with it. They should call the new merged airline "Jetlink Airlines" because it has a pretty good ring to it and it captures what regional feed airlines do. They link or feed the passengers to their mainline partners.

Why limited it to a region? How about reviving the National Airlines. Has it been long enough that the name is fair game? and is'nt that the definition of a super regional a national airline?
