I have studied it and that is completely false. Please post your findings as to not only the president who was in charge at the time but who controlled the senate and house. You will find when the purse strings were controlled by the republicans the economy did a lot better than when the democrats had the majority.
Just look at the last 14 years. For the first 6 years that Bush was in office the economy was humming along. The dems took over the senate in 2004 and the house in 2006. Shortly after that everything started to go down hill to the point that the Democrats have had complete control of 2 out of the 3 branches for the last 8 years and for a while there had autonomy to do anything they wanted with no GOP input. Remember Obamacare, cash for clunkers, shovel ready jobs, bailouts. All which caused the U.S. to run trillion dollar deficits every year until the GOP took over the house and put a damper to the runaway spending that the dems were doing.
It isn't hard to make the economy seem better when 80 billion a month is pumped into it by the Obama regime but until you put your big boy pants on and actually look at the spending problem the dems have then you are just fooling yourself. The dems are know as the "tax and spend" party for reason.
Right
The democrats caused the meltdown in 2008?
You really need to do more research
Financial services modernization act
= bubble economies that we've seen.
Clinton signed it- republicans pushed for it- led to too big to fail-
Republicans have obstructed any attempt to correct it
Republicans have obstructed any attempt to raise taxes on the current generation that built this debt and eventually my generation will have to pay for it.
I really don't give a f^ck if you don't like the govt or our president or the spending- we need to pay our bills, not pass them along with interest to the next generation- the damage republicans do obstructing any attempt to address the issue is inexcusable. Democrats don't like republican spending any more than you like ours. So go f^ck yourself that this holding our govt hostage from new taxes is actually helping anything- all it is is a scam by republicans to not pay for debt they racked up. And most of their base will be retired before they will have to. It's insane and corrupt at the base level of the Republican Party- it's you that's the problem. Not your leaders. Not who's in office. It's your belief that bc you don't like democrats that we all shouldn't still pay the bills, completely ignoring that democrats don't like you or your spending anymore than you like ours.
None of which is a legitimate rationalization for doing what republicans do to our economy.
F^ckstick, you've cherry picked one very short route on a 15 year old airframe at the bottom end of mainline capacities and you've specified that it's not even full! Of course if you skew the numbers like that you can arrive at whatever numbers you want. But the aggregate data is not in dispute. Modern commercial air travel is more efficient than car travel. Period.

The meltdown was largely caused by the housing bubble which was a major component of the Dems legislation on trying to every minority into a home even though they couldn't afford it. President George W. Bush went to Congress numerous times (17 times in 2008) to warn them that quasi-governmental home lending agents Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were going to destroy the home market in particular, and the economy in general. But Democrats continuously ignored him, shut down his proposals along party lines, and continued coercing Fannie and Freddie for campaign contributions. Guess which party controlled Congress in 2008.
Please tell me exactly what bill it was that the congress stopped that would have made everything better? You libs just throw out thing like "the party of no" but have no substance to back it up. Lets talk about some of the 50 bills the congress sent over to the Senate all sitting on Harry Reid desk not being allowed to vote on ranging anywhere from immigration to healthcare to budget items.
It is funny that with 2/3 control of the government for the last 9 years you somehow can blame the mess we are still currently in on the GOP.
Settle down, guzzler. I had fun writing it and I spiked your BP, so mission accomplished. As far as cherry picking, you're wrong. First segment I pulled out of thin air.
But hey, the POS Prius wasn't full either and Delta runs hourly MD-88, 757, and Airbus service on that route so.....
Keep believing you know it all. It's all you've got.
