Sounds to me like there's no point in having a discussion herre..you guys need a union!!

What would be really sad would be if the union vote were to fail, and afterwards, schmedley realizes he was wrong. It IS a state of denial he's in, and he's either a management mole, or extremely uneducated as to how a union works, what it provides, and how it operates. It would not take very long for him to realize it was a mistake to not only vote no, but to try to get others to do so. Especially if we get sold like we all know is going to happen.

Let's hope he sees the light before we vote. I for one will not have any regrets about how I voted on that day. I KNOW what our company needs, and it isn't "more of the same". We tried that for 3 years, and it has got us to the lowest morale I've seen at a company ever.

I talked the other day to a guy who voted No last time the union vote was held.
He told me how sorry he was and is making up for it this time. He said he is doing all he can this time around to get as many pilots to vote .

From all the pilots I have talked to in the last few weeks at the FBO's it seems to me it is about 75% YES 15% No and 10 % not sure.

I think I will also call some of my buddies that are furloughed from the airlines and see how it's going at the hardware store.

So did they take the hardware store job because it pays more than flying for a fractional company? Plus they're home for dinner every night! What a deal! When you finish chatting, can you please explain to me how it is that blue collar workers can be paid more than pilots? That's always been difficult for me to understand.

YOu know who is laughing all the way to the bank with this??? Ford and Harrison. These clowns will convince FO managment to keep them onboard for as long as possible. They will charge large amounts of money for dated service in an industry that they don't understand. The same thing happened at NJA while bargaining for the new CBA. They failed at NJA and they will fail at FO. But they don't care because they will still get paid. Sounds like a great business... get paid even if you fail.

This is the link to Ford and Harrison..

Well yeah, these guys at Ford & Harrison are worse than ambulance chasers. It is a crying shame that our company is going to waste millions of dollars on a campaign that they will surely lose, and the union chasers will get paid either way, and then move onto their next victim.

It's a sad irony that the company would rather pay some so-called "union busters" a large chunk of change and endure the inevitable breakdown in morale and operational efficiency than pay the pilots. When all is said and done, H & F walks away with a lot of money and the company and pilots are left a huge wall of distrust between them. And if the story ends up like NetJets, the pilots still get a nice salary so all the company did was waste a bunch of money on attorneys' fees and see owner satisfaction needlessly plummet.

Well said Guitar Guy!

Not to mention, it just proves to the pilots that the company was quite capable all along of paying fair wages, in spite of their claims to the contrary. As we saw at NJA, the legacy of distrust that follows such actions just adds insult to injury. Another management team showing they lack the ability...or interest... to look beyond the present situation. Sad, but not surprising. I'm glad I'm married to a union builder, rather than a union buster!

Remember when things looked so grim last year and SU leadership kept assuring all of us that all contracts do get settled and we just had to hang on? NJ pilots did learn how to use their leverage and we came out ahead in the end.

DIG IN YOUR HEELS AND STAND YOUR GROUND!

YOUR FAMILIES WILL ALL BE VERY PROUD OF YOU.

Schmeddley,

I have seen lots of reason why Flight Options should have a Union and contract, yet nobody posted a list of reason why it is better to work without a contract and union. Would you please post your reasons why I would be better off working without a contract? Flight Options makes us sign a contract for trainning, why shouldn't I ask them to sign one as well?
