Sneering ?

Look at what the easties have done to AWA pilots. Actually to there own group also.

Like I said don't shoot the messenger. I think Parker will be doing some skinning of the easties . JMO

He'll probably give the easties a lollipop and take it out on us. Past practice is the best indicator of...

Only if Delta liquidates and YOU submit a resume at the new AA. You Delta boyz think that pedestal is soo solid. Get back to me in 10 years and we'll share notes...what an a...............

Outerlimits is not a Delta Pilot. He works for one of our myriad subcontractors.

Integration

US Air East A320 capt makes $124, DAL A320 FO pay + 3% is about $121.

I don't think that bodes well for the east in any future SLI. Thats one hell of an oops for putting all your chips on DOH. I'd say there will be a lot more career FO's if this happens than there ever would have been with the Nic. But what do I know. I'm sure this was part of usapa's plan all along.

I would guess the NIC award will be used again and then the group will vote on a union, and the APA will of course win. Then, an SLI will be done with the 7 year fences. The Easties will try to bully the APA guys, and that won't last long at all. Goodnight USAPA!

Godspeed!

Those swirl marks will look beautiful to a lot of pilots when APA pulls the handle on USAPA. I can hear the chants now "Flush! Flush! Flush!..."

To much drama to do it that way.

Much easier to recall all the furloughed AA pilots. Then Down size the easties until they cry uncle.

I really don't see how you see that.

USAPA's plan all along was to delay implementation of the nic. Also fight for DOH but I think they always knew it was chancey. The prime purpose was always delay. And it worked, now a bunch of guys are retiring and they're retiring from the left seat not the right as they would have been had the nic been implemented 5 years ago. The price paid was keeping the bankruptcy contract, but even if the SLI had gone through it is doubtful that any negotiated contract improvements would have outweighed the damage the nic would have done to those pilots. Hence the delay.

If DP offers DAL +3% to AA pilots, he'll have to offer the same to the USAir pilots in order to get a joint contract. However the SLI integration works out between the two is very nearly irrelevant. DOH or relative seniority between AA and USAir the list looks almost identical and doesn't hurt either's career expectations. Especially with a 7 year fence but even without.

The real question becomes how does the east and west merge their lists in order to get it done. I have a feeling the courts are about to make that clear. Personally, I think it'll be the nic. As I said before though, the damage the nic would have done to east pilots in 2005 has already been significantly blunted by 2012 and would be blunted a lot more by merging with AA. Given sufficient pay and contract improvements, I'm confident both easties, westies, and AA pilots would vote for a contract that included the nic.

CNN has a breaking new banner that says USAirways has reached an agreement with 3 AA unions for support of a merger. Not sure why this is breaking news it was already pretty much reported yesterday just not officially.
