Oh sweet baby jesus tell me this is true. I think it would be chicken soup for the Airtran soul to see Jenny from Dallas tell Latisha from college park that she is not worthy.

You mean Jimmy? Haven't seen Jenny in some time.

I heard it first hand on the crew bus in MCO. A LUV crew talked the whole ride about how all the AAI FA's were struggling and how much better they were then the lowly AAI folks. The FO even joined in on the AAI bashing fest. It may be rare but it is happening. I bit my tongue and did not say a word even though they were just loud enough for me to hear.

How can they be struggling? Were the luv fa's bragging about how they can pour a coke closer to the top of the cup without it overflowing?

I'm with Candide and others on the "RSW"
It is detrimental to all our work environments and agree that it doesn't reflect well on me or any of us. I don't appreciate it.

My first year was all good- I get teased just as much today as I did then- And I like that-

This really seems to be a base issue- the MCO and BWI people are much closer to the drama- and are affected more

Is there a SWA base is Fort Meyers? I'm confused. Why would they make fun of a flight attendant's weight. Every airline has fat flight attendants.

I think the story is BS! We have treated every AT person great! I have asked how have people been treating them. Everybody has had a great experience.

I find it entirely possible, but also don't think it is right. Pre-merger, SWA had >6500 pilots and >9000 flight attendants. To think no one from a group that big would be prone to some petty tribalism like your friend supposedly observed is just naive. It has happened and will continue to happen here & there when dealing with the smaller-minded amongst both airlines. Time will eventually heal all wounds....in the meantime there is always avoidance bids.

Was jumpseating home last week and one of the F/A's working the flight was one of our senior mamas from MCO.

I started to ask how she was enjoying it and she gave me a quick shake of her head No, as in don't say anything. Later in the flight I ran into her in the aft galley and she said that she prefers not to tell her coworkers that she's prior AAI. She had one negative experience with another F/A and was concerned that it would be a regular thing so she doesn't talk about it unless asked.

It's not altogether unreasonable to think that there will, from time to time, be snide comments and isolated events here and there as we work our way through this. I believe it will be fine in the long run, but you're putting two airlines together with many different labor groups of varying irritation on how the process played out.

It's just going to take some time for the feelings to die down.
