The NERDS are back, and they're BAD......

Bye Bye--General Lee

And the "Snake Rider" is sucking pole at ALPA National again. Come up for air General, Hypoxia is setting in again. And get a new pair of National issued pants. Your present pair is looking tired with the holes in the knee's.

Please name one RJ airline that ALPA seriously cares about. With that said, I do think RJ pilots, just like all other pilots deserve to bitch about something.

I like number 7---small jet operators flex their muscles----the only reason for that is that they have fixed contracts that usually don't include fuel increases and guaranteed revenue regardless how full the aircraft is. Of course they are profitable, especially since they are on old 727 routes. But, they scare away our best customers, who would rather fly on a nicer 717 with room to work. But heck, who cares? You still fill the planes with passengers, who are now paying lower fares and causing big losses on uneconomical jets..... 50 passengers paying 50 bucks each way don't pay the bills...(but a 717 might make money with those fares due to more seats.....)

And you also want 90 seaters huh? How about bringing mainline jobs DOWN to your pay and benefits, instead of trying to go UP and getting better pay and benefits? Most of the senior guys who support the RJDC could never get hired by the Majors---and THEY KNOW THAT. Why would they want to go to the Majors? They love their weekends off and 4 weeks of vacation at their regional airline----and they also don't want to be FO's to some yahoo like me.(that may actually be a valid reason.....)

Ok, what? You a funny man, a funny man. What? You want to BRING DOWN WAGES AND BENEFITS SO YOU CAN FLY LARGER AIRPLANES? WHO HAS HYPOXIA? Get off your a$$ and throw in an app when and if we start hiring again----or try Continental. If you got hired there, would you support the RJDC? I bet you wouldn't, you hypocrite!

How did COEX (Expressjet) do on their last contract, via ALPA? I think they did very well.

D. Woerth is such a liar!! The first paragraph in that article he states that farming out the 90 seaters isnt likely. What a crock. He knows that airways is going to give chq. the 190's. Just typical crap you would expect from that &*$%# Woerth. And they wonder why ALPA is being sued by half the country. This guy really makes my skin crawl.

Well, how about we give Comair all of the 738s and MD88s? Would that make you happy? Sure, we can allow an airline that pays less and gives less benefits to fly larger equipment and displace many mainline pilots, losing those benefits forever. Great. Sounds great. All because some senior guys like Ford and Lawson don't want to be in front of a firing squad during the interview. And, those guys might have to finally pull gear for someone younger than they are.... Sure, bring down the larger equipment, we'll fly it for you---and keep our vacation and weekends off....Lazy jerks! If they want to fly larger planes, they should bite the bullet and interview and come over and start where the rest of us did. But noooooooooo! They shouldn't have to---they spent 10 years in a BANDIT. Great. Yippy. I flew a Dornier 228 and a E120 for years, and I went for it. Grow up boys. Try interviewing.... Continental is hiring---and as soon as you go over there the RJDC will be the LAST thing on your minds. What I say is sooo true.

Oh Christ, this crap again?

Am I wrong chief? Have you sent your apps in to CAL? Would you like to? If not, why not?

Bye Bye--General Lee

Every example of whipsawing on this board is another bottle of Cognac at the next ATA convention.

To misquote WF Buckley, what airline managers have to fear is a nationwide, unified and mobilized pilot force, from the Brasilias to the 777's. Which means they have little to fear....

Actually no, simply because I'm lazy and have somewhere else I would rather be. I no you hate the RJDC thread and don't support them and that's fine and your right however, every few month's this board is filled with the same old stuff. RJDC or PFT.

Is this the month?

Half a dozen posts on this and the Regional board and you can't manage a rational counter point for even one issue raised in the update. All you can muster is your childish ad hominem attacks showcasing your bigotry:
  • "All black people are lazy."
  • "Women don't have the intellect necessary to vote in an election."
  • "RJDC lifers don't want to have to apply and interview, like I did, to fly big planes."
That myopic attitude is precisely why this union is failing. People like you better get the checklist out and start from the beginning again because you're missing some important stuff.

Ever see the movie "Revenge of the Nerds 2?" That was a line in that movie, when the nerds showed up in FLL. Easy there partner. Sit back and take a chill pill.

You need to understand that bringing larger aircraft (mainline sized) DOWN is BAD for our industry. Pilots should want to move up to larger aircraft and better benefits and pay, rather than bringing larger aircraft down and bringing pay along with it. You need to address that please. You are myopic. And, I guess you didn't see my other 6 posts regarding this topic right after that initial quote from the movie? Maybe you do have eye problems? Go see a optomotrist at Wallmart soon.

Best piece of flame bait I've seen all month.

It's like waiving a red flag in front of the General. Good humor. Good work Braveheart. And, "Good luck, we're all counting on you."

General, don't worry about these little RJDC updates. It's all a cry for help from Ford and his band of rejected bitter losers and PFTers. Nothing there but spin. Their lawsuit is in the toilet so the only thing they can come up with is their occasional work of fiction.

Dude, I never heard those "ad hominem" attacks showcasing bigotry from the General related to African Americans and women... You're whacked and a racist - those seem to be your thoughts and not his...

I agree that your perspective would change the minute you were hired by a mainline carrier and your flying and wage level were jeopardized by lower-wage outsourced flying.... Your perspective would change...

I don't defend the General's opinions, but this is too much.

You must be one of those folks that imagine bigotry when no one agrees with your point of view. Haven't you figured out that you won't change anyone's mind on this board. You may never, ever change anyone's mind no matter how or where you argue a point. Do us a favor and take that tool out of your bag. Go out and do something positive.

Claiming someone is a bigot due to your own frustration and opinions is chilling. With your logic someone could call you a bigot.

I'll say it again, "What this industry needs is a Guild or Association that sets minimum rates for ALL pilots" (and tie them all to the highest currrent contract in the industry). No more whipsawing, no more concessions. You still have your own union, just they cannot agree to take anything less than the guild rate. . . they can negotiate more, but not less.
