That's an awful lot of people on the payroll with no cash coming in. As for the DOT filing, it's just puttin' lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig...

"Virgin America will also be good for consumers? Another study showed that consumers would save $786 million annually in fare savings if Virgin America were allowed to fly, or the equivalent of $88 per roundtrip. That same study showed that Bay Area residents would save $187 million annually, or $110 per roundtrip. This is because VA will offer low fares in line with existing low fare carrier pricing."

I must be missing something. If VA offers low fares in line with exsiting low fares, why would we need them and why would it offer savings?

glad i didnt go there...did you see how many dudes were listed under "inflight"?
will the people who do the hiring never learn!?

Just increases the available low-fare seats, and forces competitors to make more of those types of seats available

How's it going, Falcon? My co-workers are heading to lovely Mumbai this weekend.

Sorry I'm missing it... ;) TC

nice avatar tc..reminds me of the good old days life is good here..ahhhhhh Mumbai in the spring...(smells like Mumbai any other time of the year)

That an RJ guy can get out of that deadend job flying the RJ.

ROTFLMAO

Now those former RJ captains who were making halfway decent money at a regional are seatlocked as FO's in the Airbus making RJ FO pay, and that's if the company even gets off the ground. They're only getting paid something like 2500 a month right now. Those guys are hating life and regretting their decision to jump in bed with Branson, Reid, and Carty. That's right kids. VA will be hiring street captains and those poor saps dreaming of the quick Airbus upgrade will be yanking gear wishing they stayed at their former job where at least they had some semblance of work rules.

Check out all the "Virgin quality" FA's; most of them are "dudes". And I thought we had a lot of "dudes" in our in-flight department. What is happening to the world of aviation...I hate to say this...hags or fags?
