Returning to ASA

Just a quick question for anyone who knows this answer- if you worked for ASA, left on good terms and decided to come back later, what´s the process? I know you have to go through the ground school again; do you have to get re-interviewed? Or can they just put you into the next available class?
Also, does your previous time in the company count towards anything? Meaning, if you put in 8 months before you left originally, do those 8 months count towards the 1st year raise, meaning slave wages for only 4 months? I know that you get a new seniority number.

That would be a big NO.. Reinterview, same employee number, bottom of the seniority, no credit for anything. Just like starting new.

Voluntarily from what I understand. I guess the grass isn't as green over there. In fact it must be pretty brown to do that

Things haven´t gone exactly as planned at my current carrier, and I´m just checking my options. ASA would have been one of them if I was able to at least count my previous time with the company, but since I´d be starting completely over as if it never happened, I´d be better off marking this off my list.
It´s just my `Plan D`, anyway.

you call and get an interview and basically start over. I had two firm class dates at other airlines before getting an interview date back at ASA.

Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the otherside of the fence. Having worked at a "big jet" carrier, and having to commute to that "big jet" carrier, and watching that "big jet" carrier go bust, I am perfectly happy flying here at ASA. For one thing commuting sucks and will make your life much worse no matter where you work.

I know I will get attacked for this, but life here at ASA isn't really that bad.

The flying is great, a lot of the places we go are great (some are scary). I had some overnights in Quito in April which were real nice.
Perhaps we will fly together one day. The powers that be tell me I am close to upgrade. Now that is scary thought.
