Just got off the phone with a very good friend (upper mgnt) over at Spirit. He saw the new routing structure for this Summer out of Detroit.
Aircaft type was E-190s'. After looking further, he found an inter-office memo which referred to Republic.
He didn't say how many aircraft, just that it was "significant" enough to handle the whole Detroit base.

Sounds like you guys are busy growing! Good Luck.

Hopefully this is true. Republic is starting to stagnate. It's hard to pay the bills on the max first officer pay scale of $37/hour. It is even harder now given that most months, it is hard to break guarantee.

Republic takes over flying from Midex, and Spirit. Maybe one other? Also gains Mokulele flying.

Now they're an National/LCC with the WORST PAY IN THE HISTORY.

All the while everyone is complacent with their E180 job flying their mainline plane because they park at the mainline gates.

This is turning into the porno where the girls never show.

I'm sure the Spirit guys have their fingers crossed too.
