Republic Airways Holdings (RAH), parent of Chautauqua Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Republic Airlines and Shuttle America posted a third-quarter net income of $25.8 million, a $16.8 million increase over the prior year quarter.

“We continue to see improved financial performance on our Frontier Airlines business segment, made possible through our restructuring efforts completed last year and the continued network and fleet optimization,” RAH chairman, president and CEO Bryan Bedford said. “We have been engaged in a similar restructuring effort with our Chautauqua Airlines subsidiary … Thus far, that effort has resulted in meaningful financial improvements.”

Group revenue fell 7.1% to $713.1 million while expenses dropped 11% to $639.6 million, producing an operating profit of $73.5 million, up from a $48.9 million operating profit in the prior-year quarter. Fuel costs for the quarter fell 28.8% year-over-year.

At the end of October the carrier announced the sale of five Embraer E-190s to US Airways, three of which have been delivered, and amended a capacity purchase agreement with Delta Air Lines to operate an additional seven E-145s for one year. It also finalized restructuring agreements with stakeholders on its 50-seat regional jet program; the agreements are expected to improve the operating cash flow of the company by approximately $45 million annually over the next five years.

“This is an important milestone in our Chautauqua restructuring effort,” Bedford said. “These agreements take us about three-quarters of the way to our stated need of $60 million in average annual cash flow improvements.”

Third-quarter consolidated traffic fell 8% to 7.56 billion RPMs on an 8.5% drop in capacity to 10.14 billion ASMs, producing a load factor of 74.5%, up 0.4 points. CASM fell 3.8% to 9.93 cents. CASM ex-fuel was 8.56 cents, up 5.3% year-over-year.

Don't they still have FO's on the E170 making less than Fos that fly the 145 at other airlines? (No contract yet)?

they make less than FO's flying turboprops half that size.
Ok so yeah bragging about profits is kinda silly no? Your pilots still have no contract, pay up chump.

Yaaaaay we're making money....... Yaaaay your pilots are on food stamps. yay

I agree. I want my company to make profits to the extent that they can't use non-profitability as an excuse. Beyond that, I couldn't care less which airline is the most profitable, I don't and won't own any of them

Who really ********************ing cares? Top execs will get big bonuses, the rest of the employees get "you're lucky to have a job."

You forgot:

"God bless"

Their f.o.'s start at $36.62 an hour?

That's top-end.

If Bedford would pay his employees more they could tithe more. Maybe that should be the next negotiating method used as all others have failed.

I could care less what my callsign is, I didn't even realize it still said that over there...... I guess I'll leave it just for you. I would care if my FO was topped out at thirty-something an hour flying a "big" airplane though. I sure would not defend that pathetic payscale. Popeye is an internet tough guy! Stay classy.

Oh boy, lets get over the Ron Burgundy quotes, they are way played out. Up until you were bought out by a non-union airline express jet merely existed as a pilot staffing company. Continental was your only customer and you had zero competition...i.e. why you think you have such great rates. Now that you have to compete with other airlines that actually own their airframes...including skywest we'll see what becomes of your mighty AsA now.

I'd be more worried that skywest can do as they please with me more than how bad republic s payrates are. We will get a raise...will you?

Just what pay raise do you think we're going to get? We've been pimp-slapped at every ********************ing turn of events and now our embarrassing contract is being used to coerce another pilot group into taking concessions.

Must be this mustache I've grown for movember, because I meant no reference to Ron. I don't think we're great, all regional airlines suck. But W2 vs W2 we're the highest paid 50 seat drivers. Plus our work rules, soft time, add pay, vacation, medical bennies etc are as good or better than everyone that I'm aware of. I want outta here asap.....But until then, this is my bread and butter. And being bought out by SkyWest was good for us, I'm glad it happened. SkyWest makes money and knows how to run a buisness.

So all your gay attacks aside, your pay is still pathetic. I'm stating a fact that even guys I know who work there agree with. In the meantime, Bedford is making money and your FO can't support his family regardless of aircraft of seniority. But keep trying to make jabs at me. I'm out, have a good one.

How are negotiations going? IBT needs some red meat for the troops, stringing ya'll along is getting harder.....everyone getting the long one for the Moffat Junta's quest to get Midwest guys to an Airbus left seat asap....and using the RAH natives as stepping stones! All hail "appointments" versus "elections"?

Repub, is finishing up negotiations for Code Share with Qatar
Should be an interesting feed for the profit guarantee.

Good luck

That was us at Comair once, too.
