Does that even exist?

Well, I suppose you could pull a bunch of the seats out, make the whole cabin a kind of business/first class. The passengers would love the extra room, although I doubt the economics would work very well.

This is hilarious - CAL, the major with just about the worst work rules out there, the major where people are leaving to go to DAL, SWA, etc..., the major that buckled under to mngt when there wasn't even a threat of BK ............... is beating the war drums over scope????????

You guys picked a nice time to START standing up for yourselves. You might want to investigate the legislation that AMR and CAL (both from the great state of Texas), slipped into a war bill earlier in the year - it concerns how they can delay/extend payments to the pension fund! You guys at CAL should see the train coming down the track, right at you!

One year from now, you might be singing a different song.

Why the joyful noise about the potential demise of CAL's scope? Do you RAH guys really want more widebody RJs flying around, taking away mainline jobs, just so you can keep the upgrades coming?

PLEASE tell me you folks aren't so myopic...

If it makes you feel better, every time I hear about us getting 190s my soul dies a little. Most of us don't want anything bigger than what we have.

I agree that most of your guys are like that, and most have been cool to grab a beer with. That said, I had one of your new hires (former Mesa) on my flight to STL that decided that instead of just taking his seat in the waiting area he would come up to our crew and spout his holier then crap republic montra, letting us know all about how republic is expanding and we should all apply there and that they are taking over the US air 190's.... he also said this in front of some US Airways non rev pilots, which left a pretty bad taste in their mouth too. Anyways, I know its just like anyplace over there where 98% are cool and 2 % are like this dork... but he sure left a bad image about the pilot group they are hiring at RP.

On riding the employee bus back to the parking lot in MCO a while ago there was a Shuttle guy in the back where all the crews ride generally. He was on the phone yapping to a buddy of his about how RP was getting all 170/175/190 and would be flying them for everyone. All of the 135/145's would be gone in two years and this was they way of the company. The look this United FO gave him was one of utter disgust. Every CHQ/SH/RP person I've met were very nice but this guy was the definition of "tool"

Fine our pension is frozen at CAL and the 2000 or so guys that are hired when this goes to a vote won't have a pension anyway. So they can dangle all they want, and CH11 is the only way they can get rid of the fund for the older guys anyway, and the rules of CH11 are alot different now then when UAL, NWA, and DAL went through so it will probalbly mean the end of CAL so threaten the pensions all you want.

I am not saying that it will never happen, who would of thought NWA, DAL, USAir,and UAL would have given so much scope, but the pension is not a threat.

Their is always that 2% at every airline.

Sorry you had to listen to that tool.

This after you make comments of "CAL being next for 170's". Wouldnt you consider that a tool comment?

I personally hope the CAL pilots continue to hold scope. As soon as a 170 comes on painted in CAL colors you will soon see all the CAL 737 300/500s going bye bye. Is that what you want Mr. EMBPILOT?

i don't want them any more than the next person.....but.....if they're gonna go somewhere, then we might as well get them

whine all you want, you'd take them too. if not you, then someone else. if mainline doesn't want them to be mainline, then they WILL find a regional to fly them
