I removed the left panel during my condition inspection both for inspection reasons but also to use rivet nuts, thank you @Cactus Charlie to secure my mesh cargo nets. I have a 4 x 9 mesh cargo net on the right panel below the door area, right hip, that is one of my favorite for my wallet, etc. I want to secure it permanently with rivet nuts. As I'm going to remove the right forward panel soon to inspect for a potential backup ignition battery upgrade, I wonder how hard it is to remove that center panel? I imagine it is just removing the pulley cover, snap rivets, and the snap rivets between center and rear panel.

Has anyone such as @Cactus Charlie removed that panel before?

I have not removed the center right panel. I used to find it unreasonably hard to remove the forward right panel. It's much easier now I have taped over the Velcro.

Neil hi
I have an EX3 and obviously have removed that center panel - be sure to put masking tape on the floor close to the bottom of the panel and mark all the rivet clip positions so the holes line up when you put it back. I added a net in that position but beware as if you fill it up the pedal could snag on the bulging net - I considered making a recessed area to make more space but it is a lot of work.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm aware of both left and right cargo net locations could be interference for rear passenger feet but fortunately I rarely have anyone in the back seat. My back seat is stowed other than for BFR's as my goal is to fly my dog which I've only done once. She's a lab and I just can't stomach the idea of her shedding in the plane! :) She loved it, I was the nervous one.

As to marking the snap rivets, good point. The left forward panel was a bear to get back in trying to align those and do yoga at the same time.

I admire you builders. I could never do it! Please continue to share your experiences for others to learn from.

Great to have you here with us.
