....The union leaders here know what they are doing.....I think I have a fairly secure job that will get better and better in the future. I never for once felt that way at the regionals.

Taking your advice FL22....;) As the NJ pilots have pointed out, the contract was won after making a strong stand and it is important not to get complacent. In the coming months the group will be voting for their MEC. Please read the resumes and records of union work accomplished by the candidates and vote for those leaders that are best suited to build a respectful relationship with the company, acquire a bonus for the pilots, and prepare the pilot group for future negotiations. I totally agree that we have to build on the success we have seen so far.

Hi!

TurboJetCpt:
Just changed my avatar, and it's from a movie too, but it'll be much easier to figure out.

Just sent my cl.resume in via email a few days ago.

Hi!

If anyone thinks NetJets is crappy, let me know and I'll help you get on with several other flying organizations, including one that is ALPA. I'm sure after a few months you'll be praying to God that you could go back to the cushy job you had at NetJets.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you...:) NJW

How many other places will actually pay for your airfare to come to an interview and then put you up in a hotel and FEED you? I know of none..

FYI

When I attended my second interview with Cathay Pacific several years ago they paid for a round trip ticket to Hong Kong, a week in the hotel (well ok they owned the airline and the hotel ..). They also bought all my meals and gave me $300 in spending money ... Nice ... its a classy airline, but I'm glad I'm at Netjets.

I've often heard pilots encourage one another to go to an interview for the "experience" (aside from the obvious reasons) and thought they meant the practice one gets in interviewing....:) As far as "experiences" go, Ozpilot, that surely ranks at the top....;) I'm happy for you that the interview experience was so memorable. What a nice consolation prize!
Regards,
NJW

yeah I forgot about cathay. I was supposed to interview there, but my netjets interview was the day before. I figured between the two I would have a much better chance getting hired at netjets. The initial interview for cathay, though, was on my dime. Get to lga, pay for a hotel and food.. If I made it past the first one then I would have had the honor to get the hong kong vacation. Glad you're here though.. It is nice to know that some airlines (unfortunately foreign) still take care of employees.. that's why I'm at netjets.. congrats again
