I've often heard pilots encourage one another to go to an interview for the "experience" (aside from the obvious reasons) and thought they meant the practice one gets in interviewing.... As far as "experiences" go, Ozpilot, that surely ranks at the top.... I'm happy for you that the interview experience was so memorable. What a nice consolation prize!

yeah I forgot about cathay. I was supposed to interview there, but my netjets interview was the day before. I figured between the two I would have a much better chance getting hired at netjets. The initial interview for cathay, though, was on my dime. Get to lga, pay for a hotel and food.. If I made it past the first one then I would have had the honor to get the hong kong vacation. Glad you're here though.. It is nice to know that some airlines (unfortunately foreign) still take care of employees.. that's why I'm at netjets.. congrats again
