Yet the erj-190 pay is the worst pay at US Airways versus the erj-175 being your best pay. Compare your crj/erj pay rate to the erj-190 and your erj-175 to the A330. Compare best to best and worst to worst! How do the FO pay rates compare? Just remember you can always lose express flying overnight and be bumped back to an FO. Commuter Airlines are not exempt from cuts, just some thoughts!

Also ERJ-175 pay at RAH at 12 yrs=$87.00

ERJ-190 pay as US Airways at 12 yrs=$95.00
US Airways looks higher, plus a minimum day pay, trip and duty rigs!

If RAH makes you happy, awesome, but the pay isn't higher!

Let's compare RAH to US Airways FO rates. At Republic, FO rates don't count due to the two year upgrade. LOL.
 
Here is an idea, I wish someone would work this out at ALPA National. ALPA would take care of a few things in our careers. I wouuld think it would be nice if ALPA took care of a number of our programs now controled at our companies. Vacation, it would be ALPA seniroity which detirmines how much annual vacation we have, then if you leave for another ALPA carrier, you take that with you. Same goes for Health care and to a less extent 401K. The 401K is not really a issue since they are easily transfered to one employer to another. But in the case of those carriers which do not have a good match, maybe this would impove the bad plans.

Okay, settle down now. With all that knowledge and bravado, why don't you pick up a guitar and play an arena? You'll make millions and won't have to subject yourself to all this "industry stress?"

The industry has CHANGED FOREVER. You want me to risk my income, family, lifestyle because "regionals are lame." Listen to yourself. Talk to any pilots in this industry that are happy (ESPECIALLY Major Airline pilots?) I've been at my REGIONAL for 12 years. Great schedules, now great leadership, life is good. I should give that up? GFY. For the record, my QOL is great. My income is adequate, sure as he!! beats unemployment. God bless anybody that wants to take on the risk of "flying for a Major." I hope you're single and can endure the hardship (I certainly don't wish it upon you). The Industry is what it is, make your choice and live with it. You move on, you also inherit the consequences of that choice.

Or maybe how to breast feed a goat while being a man and trying to obtain PIC time for it? Or what about listening to the radio on your tranceiver and logging PIC time for it? Then you can call your mommy and moderators and cry all you want to? Or maybe you could just STFU and go away? Nahh, too much to ask, but have a nice day:D .

12 year pay at RAH on the 86 seat E175 is $96.20
 
Only 60 pilots out of ~2100ish (or less than 3%) of pilots on the RAH Master Seniority List have 10 or more years longevity...and of those, only 38 pilots have been there more than 12 years.

Again, the 175 is the highest paying airframe at RAH, the 190 is the lowest paying airframe at US Airways.


Getting the thread back on topic, I only know of one pilot who left AWAC and was later re-hired. The guy is a 4-day laugh track, too...
 
I actually asked my last two employers directly if I could return and they said yes. I had to do it too, for awhile. It beats unemployment, even if it feels somewhat like failure for awhile. Burning bridges costs alot.

PS: Please think about giving 10% of your income to an aviation charity. They're bleeding money too.

Curious to know how old those 38 pilots are. Can make a BIG difference which end of the spectrum they're on.
 
For the record, my QOL is great.
That certainly makes it all official now. I have NEVER come across a pilot who said the current gig they were flying for sucked. Just ask all the Mesa guys who tell you they have great jobs.

Well, I for one can say that my current gig does not suck. (unless of course I get the dreaded 2AM wakeup call)

I've met a handful of UAL retirees that go on and on about how bad UAL is / was. "My question to them is why did you stay?"

Further, if all the Mesa guys have great gigs, why does anyone ever move on??? Who's lying to who?

How does that apply to the current job market? The best jobs in the industry in my opinion (Fed Ex and UPS) are not going to hire for years. Those two companies are the exception to the rule when it comes to second year pay. All of the Legacy's will require 5yrs+ to make 6 figures.
