Dumb Pilot get a F%Cking clue, A-HOLE! Don't make assumptions. Why the hell do you have beaf with me what did I ever do to you? Go pick on some one your own size.

Peanucklecrj:

Just curious, how are you making 70K a year? According to the pay scale posted at Airline Pilot Central.com, 9 year Capt. only makes 70.00 per hour and part 121 limits you to 1000 hrs. a year. Do you have check airman override pay or is the pay scale posted at Airline Pilot Central an old or incorrect one?

I dont think anyone has a beaf with you...btw, what is a beaf

just kidding....

To all you guys banking on a quick upgrade, just look at what happened at XJ. They're going to get a concessionary TA shoved up their A$$ in a couple of days (I hope not) and then the music is gonna stop at 9E. You'll hear crickets chirp on that concourse!! It doesn't matter how good the operation is, BIG RED calls the shots and won't stop until they hear you squeak!! I'm on my way to airline # 2 in less than a year!! There was a guy in my class, who is now on airline # 3 in less than 2 years - it's a fact of life right now! For those guys trying to break in, learn another skill before you get into the airlines (I did and it HELPED), don't be one of these guys that has only aviation on their resume, unless you like bending over!!

22:27? A little earlier than I thought, Did Mommy go to bed earlier? and you are using the computer in the home office? Because the computer you got on your 15th. birth day (Last year) has parental blocks and you can only access Disney.com on it.

Do me a favor Junior. Just listen when men are talking OK. We just don't want to hear your less than 100 punk a$$ talk.
Become a pilot, get your ratings and then come back. And for now don't go away mad, just go away.

My last year at Pinnacle was my 5th year pay. My W2 was 73K. Overtime, vacation and perdiem and that is what it was. Hope this helps

5th year CRJ CA pay was $62.00 an hour (roughly).

I averaged 100 hours of credit EVERY MONTH on 90-95 hours of flying, 13 day off average, and credited 1,237 hours for the year (just under 1,000 hours of flying plus 10 extra credit each month = 120 + 42 guarantee in November when I timed out plus 75 guarantee in December).

$76,694

Add to that for 4 months I was sport bidding and collected 24/7 per diem for an average increase of $700 more than normal per diem for the month = $2,800.

$79,494 in income before per diem.

$4,000 or so in regular per diem.

$83,494 total income, plus the $1,400 or so in 401k contribution from the company.

You can do it, but you have to fly your butt off. Didn't have any less days off either. Fly smarter, not harder.

That said, by working that hard I should have cleared 6 figures. The pay rate DOES suck.

Longhorn... according to your avatar, you of all people should know that it's spelled boeuf (french). ;)

p.s. Current location... LOST? LOL almost finished with sims, on to O.E. Having fun jumpseating around, crews are great. Later,,,

Lear, as much as I have moved in the last 18 months, I seem to always feel lost.

Good to hear things are good.

Longhorn: I understand exactly what you mean. I've been thru it too. Everytime someone mentions a city I feel like I've worked there

You're like those drunks who get in fights, get their asses kicked an yet still get up for more beating.

Is now a bad time to ask you to walk my resume in? I'll just come back later. ;)

You guys both need to chill.

Ah! Junior knows I'm just messing with him. The best of luck on your future there CX880. And all you guys that are thinking about PCL as an option. It's really not as bad as some people make it sound, It is a REGIONAL of course, with regional pay and scheduled reduced rests, but the people are great and the operation runs pretty smoothly (By luck I'm sure)

Take care ya'll

On an unrelated note, all this positive energy about ole Pinch A Nickel is starting to worry me. May I take the contrarian position? Yes, things are fairlly good right now but THEY CAN BE A HELLUVA LOT BETTER!

Its easy for some guys who are sitting at the top for years and years or the guy who just happened to come in at the right time (Lottery winner!) to rant about how great the company is treating "everyone". But after all, who is everyone? There are alot of people sitting in crew rooms at 9E who didn't hit the jackpot and once the music stops and possible downsizing occurs, the pain could trickle upward really fast!

We need to keep all that in mind as the contract gets ready for its inevitable unveiling and realize that the company has its darlings and its "butt boys". All should be experiencing a decent quality of life within reason.

i agree with you 100%. I am one of those on the board that does defend 9e as a decent place to work. But I do know Things can be better, and they need to get better. I have high hopes for the new contract, but I know I am just setting myself up for disappointment. Or maybe i just have a lot of faith in our MEC and CNC.

I try to be positive when i come into work. Work is more enjoyable that way, trust me. And as a line holder, I go check in, fly the line and go home. I dont have to deal with scheduling and havent been junior manned/extended since summer last year. So how different is my current place of work compared to working for ASA, skywest, comair, and AWAC when flying the line? It aint.
