Is there a hiring contract? What are the mins right now? Not, the posted mins, but what are they actually hiring people at?

Jesus, what you Pinnacle guys have just described seemed kind of SHi$%Y. And you're saying that Pinnacle is better than MESA! What, does MESA make you fly for no pay?? How can things get any worse. Please tell me that at least the pilot group/airline workers are decent or are they all high school dropouts? There aren't that many PFT 500 hour guys are there? Also what kind of flying do you do, a lot of 1 hour flights? I don't think I've ever seen a NWA Airlink route map.

You don't actually believe the BS about being off most of the month, playing golf all the time and making a millionaire career out of this gig do you?
Anywhere you go, you will work for a living numb nuts. All you 172 drivers with SJS have a lot of nerve talking trash about any job that hires your dumb un experienced a$$ while there are pilots with thousands of hours on furlough. Currently NWA have over 600 pilots on furlough, so that you can come here and complain about reserve while we have to teach you how to talk on the radio and read a map.

About your question. There is NO NWAilink route maps because there is no such a thing as a NWAirlink route structure. We are a feeder for NWA, meaning we don't have passengers, we don't have routes, We don't have airplanes. We operate the CRJ fleet for NWA together with MESABA that is currently operating a couple of CRJ's as well.
The Legs? We do everything from 18 minutes flights to 3 hour flights, the cities that we serve are attached to a clapper at NWA head quarters. They clap, we go. They clap again, we stop going. Simple as that.

About the job being $hitty, For you that are lurking on this board at 1:28 in the morning and the only point of reference is the summer jobs you held at McDonalds while you where working on your CFI. I don't think you are ready to move out of your parents just yet. (I'm not expecting your reply any earlier than noon)

Just what we need, Another 350 hour punk a$$ suffering from SJS

What the F#ck are you talking about. All your idiotic thread is about assumptions. SJS?? I barely have 100 hours. What did I say??? Have you heard of sarcasm? I think you've been abused a little too long at pinnacle and have started to belive that any other regional job is as $hitty as pinnacle. And by the way I'm not looking for a job at Pinnacle. Also what made you belive that I am one of those PFT guys, I'm curious. And yes I did laugh with your last statement about the response but I don't have a class till 1400. YES College something that you will never have therefore will be limited to a life at Pinnacle!! Or am I making too many assumptions?

Actually, you're a prime candidate for SJS.

The research shows that the lower the flight time, the higher the susceptibility to SJS, whereas when flight time increases into the high 4-digit area, SJS becomes almost nonexistent.

P.S. That was sarcasm, but tongue-in-cheek since it's true more often than not.

What did I say??? Have you heard of sarcasm? I think you've been abused a little too long at pinnacle and have started to belive that any other regional job is as $hitty as pinnacle.
There are no GOOD regional jobs, just some that are better than others.

And by the way I'm not looking for a job at Pinnacle.
Yet.

Yeah, you probably are.

More than half of the pilots I knew at PCL were college grads or finishing their degree by correspondence. Most of us understand partying late, sleeping in, and bumbling your way through psych and stats classes... :)

Good luck to you, just remember: IT'S A FREAKING JOB! It just happens to have a good view and sometimes a fun long overnight.

I had my resume walked into Pinnacle and was told that I needed 500ME or 500Turb. Is that really what they want? Seems rather high for a regional.

chill down. They invited me with 1500 TT + and 800 me turb. pic

No hiring contract.... 1000 and 200... Me along with a OE captain walked my buddys resume to the chief and he had 900 and 90. That was last week so Ill tell u if he gets anything. With 1000 and 200 you will most likely get an interview. 20.73/hr 1st year 75 hour guar. 10 days off a month... $200 a week during training.. double occupancy hotel... you can jumpseat when you pass your checkride and get the CREW badge.

Like clockwork 13:31, does mommy know that you are lurking on a site where people use fowl language?

I barely have 100 hours. I'm not lokking for a job at Pinnacle, What made you believe that I am one of those PFT guys?

I'm sorry, I knew that you where a punk, I didn't know that a 350 hour guy was experienced compared to you. My deepest apologies to all commercial pilots with 350 hours for comparing you to a private pilot, sorry

YES College something that you will never have therefore will be limited to a life at Pinnacle!! Or am I making too many assumptions?

College? 1986 and masters degree in 91.

Furloughed a couple of times and another couple of times lost jobs due to the companies shutting down. From a 25 year veteran that has done everything from cargo to corporate to mainline carriers and now back to regional (That is the way of this business junior). I can tell you that my current job here at PCL is actually not too bad, 15 days off, I get pretty good lines and I enjoy the people a lot, excellent group of guys and gals. And yes, there are a lot of mainline NWA, Sun Country, Independence, USAir, Eastern, American, Eagle and other airlines working for pinnacle now.

Have you heard of sarcasm?

Since before you where born. Now, go wash your mouth with soap, and call us back when you get 500 hours. Not any sooner and that was NOT a sarcastic statement. Get your commercial, multi and instrument ratings. Move out of mommy's house and then come lurk in the site for people that work for a living. And no junior, your allowance doesn't count as a salary.

I had my resume walked into Pinnacle and was told that I needed 500ME or 500Turb. Is that really what they want? Seems rather high for a regional.

No, that is incorrect. We are getting program individuals with 300 hours, Although the mins are 1000T and 200M. How long ago was this? with 700 hours or so. I'm sure they'll take you into consideration. life for a F/O here is pretty rough, low pay and reserve is pretty hectic. Once you upgrade and specially if you reside at base is a pretty good gig.

My resume was walked in about 8 months ago, but I last talked to the individual who told me of 500ME/Turb about 2 months ago and he seemed pretty adamant about that, even after I reminded him (in a real nice way, of course) that Pinnacle has hired (and apparently continues hiring) people with less than 500TT, never mind ME. I won't state the individual's name, I will only say that he is of Australian origin.

"Walked" in my buddy's resume with an LOR and made a few calls to the chief pilot and hr... he got an interview with 600TT and 100ish multi-engine. No bridge program. All flight instructing. He kicked ass in the interview and is in new hire class now.

9E isnt a bad place. Upgraded in 13 months... First year made 26,000..last year over 60,000 and this year will make over 70. Not bad for a 25 year old only two years out of college that refuses to wake up before noon on his days off. Lots of improvements being made with new manuals and the "possibility" of electronic flight bags (I'll believe the EFB fluff when I see it in the cockpit)... one of the only regionals out there with a good acars/automated load system. Plus doing CAT II cert and finally getting rid of almost all of those stupid memory items. I'm holding a variety of 11-14 days off a month with credit values up into the 90's once I do some trip swaps each time.

I'm pushing my way out the door as hard as I can, but it's been a great experience so far. There have only been a couple morons that I've had to fly with.

Dumb Pilot get a F%Cking clue, A-HOLE! Don't make assumptions. Why the hell do you have beaf with me what did I ever do to you? Go pick on some one your own size.

Peanucklecrj:

Just curious, how are you making 70K a year? According to the pay scale posted at Airline Pilot Central.com, 9 year Capt. only makes 70.00 per hour and part 121 limits you to 1000 hrs. a year. Do you have check airman override pay or is the pay scale posted at Airline Pilot Central an old or incorrect one?

I dont think anyone has a beaf with you...btw, what is a beaf

just kidding....

To all you guys banking on a quick upgrade, just look at what happened at XJ. They're going to get a concessionary TA shoved up their A$$ in a couple of days (I hope not) and then the music is gonna stop at 9E. You'll hear crickets chirp on that concourse!! It doesn't matter how good the operation is, BIG RED calls the shots and won't stop until they hear you squeak!! I'm on my way to airline # 2 in less than a year!! There was a guy in my class, who is now on airline # 3 in less than 2 years - it's a fact of life right now! For those guys trying to break in, learn another skill before you get into the airlines (I did and it HELPED), don't be one of these guys that has only aviation on their resume, unless you like bending over!!

22:27? A little earlier than I thought, Did Mommy go to bed earlier? and you are using the computer in the home office? Because the computer you got on your 15th. birth day (Last year) has parental blocks and you can only access Disney.com on it.

Do me a favor Junior. Just listen when men are talking OK. We just don't want to hear your less than 100 punk a$$ talk.
Become a pilot, get your ratings and then come back. And for now don't go away mad, just go away.

My last year at Pinnacle was my 5th year pay. My W2 was 73K. Overtime, vacation and perdiem and that is what it was. Hope this helps

5th year CRJ CA pay was $62.00 an hour (roughly).

I averaged 100 hours of credit EVERY MONTH on 90-95 hours of flying, 13 day off average, and credited 1,237 hours for the year (just under 1,000 hours of flying plus 10 extra credit each month = 120 + 42 guarantee in November when I timed out plus 75 guarantee in December).

$76,694

Add to that for 4 months I was sport bidding and collected 24/7 per diem for an average increase of $700 more than normal per diem for the month = $2,800.

$79,494 in income before per diem.

$4,000 or so in regular per diem.

$83,494 total income, plus the $1,400 or so in 401k contribution from the company.

You can do it, but you have to fly your butt off. Didn't have any less days off either. Fly smarter, not harder.

That said, by working that hard I should have cleared 6 figures. The pay rate DOES suck.

Longhorn... according to your avatar, you of all people should know that it's spelled boeuf (french). ;)

p.s. Current location... LOST? LOL almost finished with sims, on to O.E. Having fun jumpseating around, crews are great. Later,,,

Lear, as much as I have moved in the last 18 months, I seem to always feel lost.

Good to hear things are good.

Longhorn: I understand exactly what you mean. I've been thru it too. Everytime someone mentions a city I feel like I've worked there
