Does anyone one know whether North Carolina will finance 73 type rating training if furloughed under job retraining?

Thanks....

If you want an answer from an expert call Sandy at Higher Power Aviaiton. She can give you the straight answer. 1-800-JETCREW. Hope that helps.

It looks like they do--to some extent:

http://www.ncstars.org/

click on public access

click on search NC Stars programs

click outside the map for the list of all programs

click on Training provider search

US Airways Contract Training and Services is on the list

For more information on the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program, contact the Workforce Development Unit at (919)733-6745, fax (919)733-8130, or E-mail:[email protected], or your nearest local Employment Security Commission office.

NC would only allow me $2500, but others after me got the full amount. I went through the WIA, but it depends on how much money is in the budget. I heard lately that they will give the money IF you have a job offer that is dependent on the type.
