First off, MK82Man, logical lucid comment, nice job. Second, the 18 month seat lock/flood gate issue maybe over hyped, the delevery schedule for the EMB's is only about 1 a month or so (I beleive this will change though), 18 months from first class will release between 5-8 FO's a month (60-96 year). The recall rate in early 2008 will be greater than that based on retirement alone (140 for 2008) PLUS mainline FO's leaving to become EMB CA's at the rate of 5-8 per month for a total of at least 140 openings a year after the seat lock expires for furloughed guys to bid!!!!.

It's sadly ironic that J4J is Top Priority when the big boys get a boo-boo, but when things turn around the feeder pilots are told to; 'just be patient, we'll get back to you little fella'.

FWIW, from what I hear, the way PSA ALPA has treated the J4J'ers and their arguements against the CRJ700's, I wouldn't expect the U MEC to extend too many olive branches to the PSA'ers.....

Piedmont is another story. However, you cannot treat one one way and another another. (how's that for good grammar?)

I would think it is on the long list of things to do.....but way down on the list.

PS....why do you want to get on the mainline list when you will be behind 1800 furloughees?

Never count on a flow through agreement.

Show some sack and get hired off the street if you can.

I have heard the seat lock will only be 12 months.

A350 is 100% correct when he says that the PSA MEC has made no friends with mainline ALPA. They have behaved like spoiled brats, and I doubt a change is soon coming.

What are your thoughts on the flow through agreement for Piedmont and PSA pilots? Will it ever happen? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel for us?? How long is it going to take for Mainline to recall all of its furloughs?

You should already be integrated. USAir bought Piedmont in 1989, and PSA just before that.

Is that a joke? Sarcasm? Tongue in cheek?

Just FYI, the official number is 1594 on furlough. There is no way everyone is coming back. I would guess 900-1000 will be back, and that may be a high guess....

Way high.

Does it make any difference whether it was or wasn't?

Yes.....either he's being humorous, or ignorant.

I wouldn't be so sure. The only ones who aren't coming back are the ones lucky enough to get picked up at SWA,FedEx or UPS. I think more will come back than you think, especially those with jobs other than flying.
