MORE QUESTIONS FOR A KALITTA GUY!
Does Connie have ACARS/printers in their airplanes? What about GPS/FMS/INS? I heard they have glass HSIs. Are the airplanes pretty standard as far as the config does or do you see the variable hodgepodge?
Just curious how modernized their airplanes are.
Back of the airplane set up: Galley? Bunks?
Seats? Do you take a ride-on A&P with you? (J/S on the 400F a handful of times, never a classic or a conversion.)
Could someone post a trip that they have done recently? Currious as to how they "flow".
Is it possible to do your 17 days in "installments" (like a 7 day trip and a 10 day trip) or do you have to do it all at once? Does your schedule "change on the fly?"
Your travel to/from the airplane counts as a work day (one of your 17), right? Do you pick your flights or does the company?
How is dispatching/flight planning handeled when your on the other side of the world?
How's the training? Recurrent?
MX, MEL's, does the company push you to fly broken sh$t?
No hotel in training right? Will they fly you home durring "breaks" or will you at least have your ID so you can jumpseat?
How the the benefits?
Anything else I should know?
Sorry for the laundry list, just trying to get information - did a serch and still couldn't find all the answers. I have alot of hours doing flying at the other end of the spectrum.
ALSO - how is the scheduling? I saw online you guys are doing Milan-San Juan-Caracas (CKS 538 on the 24th), looks like 10:15 of flight time and about 14 hours of duty depending how early you show. Is this something they would do with one crew? I saw the San Juan Caracas leg was blocked to 0:45 even though it's almost 600 NM - is this "creative scheduling" to get both those flights done with 1 crew under 12 hours of flight time and whatever your contractual duty-day limmit is (knowing you'll be good to start)? Or do you think there will be a crew change in there and SJU-Caracas is just underblocked?
