this is not suprising at all if true. Great news for the ASA team as we continue to lose flying and furlough. We lose planes in a 2 for 1 swap deal and i wouldnt be shocked at all if skywest got 30 Q400's. Especially makes sense.. rather than expand the ATR flying and get some 500's, we just get rid of them.

you guys should have fought hard for a single seniority list! that way this would not happen!

and i just dont understand why we dont trade bombardier 50's for Q400 to at least make us more attractive for potential new business.

You can't trade 50's for Q400's. Its a bad trade. The Q400 actually cost more money then the CRJ 200's and nobody, I mean nobody would be dumb enough to trade a Q400 for a CRJ 200.

You can't even give away a 50 seat RJ these days. Nobody wants them.

I can see Delta getting them and using them for HHH, MYR, AGS, etc runs.
US Airways better be ready because if Delta jumps on some Q400's and runs them down the East Coast we're in trouble (not that we aren't in trouble right now).

Here are the rates Piedmont Pilots had approved when we we're told by management we were gonna get them. Remember this was 2 years ago also. And we are still under a concessionary contract.

Man those FO rates are junk for a 70 seat airplane.

"but we gotta get them on the property first" right? :erm:

Skywest to buy Lynx from Republic. Exercise all the options an then pay for 10 more. Gunna happen.
