Go to Comair if you have a choice. Neither seem to have any advancement in the future but Comair will get you more pay with more time off. Go to PSA only if you enjoy abuse from managers and schedulers who could not care less about you.

Actually, you can go ahead and apply to Comair too if you're looking for that. You won't be let down.

Thanks for the reply guys, have interviews with both coming up. I know I dont have the job at either yet but nice to get point of views of both. Any more input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Go where you think you will get PIC turbine the fastest. All regionals suck!

I work at PSA. It's a crap hole. We might be getting some 900s, and we might be losing some 200s. We might be able to get a good 900 pay rate, or we might shut down. Can you live with that sort of uncertainty?

LoveGun...check the company website...Rumors page indicates that US Airways is in discussions with other CRJ operators because PSA voted them down.

Good tip!

In other words, Comair or PSA, it's the same either way then!

PSA is not a bad place to work. Could be great in the future, could be good, could be bad, who knows. It depends on what we get if anything on crj 900 negotiations.

I'll third it. My previous post was in jest; PSA is not a "class act," but few regionals are these days. Most of the complaints are with scheduling and the fact that management seems to let scheduling run the entire airline.

But the vast majority of pilots here are good people to work with, and there's the occasional FA that's a hoot as well. The Chief Pilots stay out of your hair unless you really screw up.

The airplanes are all new, and the maintenance is generally very good (as long as you do a good post flight.)

Unlike Comair, about one fourth of our pilots hold seniority numbers at mainline or some other major, so it seems a fair bet that many of those pilots will leave at a rapid pace. No guarantee, but the potential exists.

Hey Chuck Norris...are you the guy who never goes around?

Mmmmmm chicken taco steam tray at 0200...what more can a guy ask for?...besides Chuck Norris's piloting skill of course.

Dont even for one second consider PSA. This place is terrible. The QOL is a joke, US is making money and management still tried to get us to vote in the 900's in a basically concessionary contract. If you really want to know some details about how bad it is here then feel free to PM me.

Honestly though, you have no future here, it sucks and there is no end in sight. YOU WILL NOT upgrade here, at least for 7 or so years. The people on here who say that PSA isnt that bad haven't been here that long. Trust all of us who say stay away. You will regret coming here.

Oh and as far as those 900's going elsewhere to some whore carrier? Fine let them. It was an insult what we were "offered" for them. If we dont get a raise for them then I say good ridence. And as far as shutting the place down? LOL thats rich! This place has been going to be shutdown for one reason or another for years now. We were resonsible for about a quarter of the total 2nd quarter profit for US. Yeah, it makes a lot of sense to shut us down.
