Since your calling out PSA.

Kinda like going in to AVL late at night with the tower closed and having to hold over Sugarloaf VOR while ASA does the full approach on a night where its CLR and 10.

I know its in the OpsSpec for them, but damn!

So I guess I can see how you feel.

But really, don't we all get paid block or better?

Shooting the full approach at an airport surrounded by, nay, IN, the mountains in the middle of the night...why would anyone do that? I know you're trying to make a point, but that was a godawful example, chief.

Chief? Is it me or does anyone else hate being called that? Or hate the person that calls people Chief?

Depart VFR in VFR conditions to save 5 (or 15) minutes? Is it 06:30 and no one else is in the area?

Yes. Fuel is expensive. Time is money.

JAX, Houston, ATL centers are fine with pop ups as long as it isn't 15 minutes after the conclusion of a Nascar race. CLT is a different animal.

"Jack, I thought you said I was Co-Captain."

"Well, Greg, there can only be one true Captain."
